My wife and I stayed in a one-bedroom apartment at Golf Course Apartments for 3 months while working in Kampala at the time. It is an old building and the furniture is a bit worn down, but everything is doing what it needs to do. In particular the location is very convenient when you need to work in Kololo or...

If you are planning to stay in Kampala for abou a week - it can be your choice. Its not perfect for a short stay since its hard to get out of here, especially in the evenings. For a longer stay you may find something less expensive and more cozy. Place needs some renovation and lacks entertainment facilities. But once...

I stayed here for work for a month. Nothing about the place is particularly spectacular but nothing particularly awful either. The lady who cleaned my apartment never seemed to do it which was annoying but as I make minimal mess wasn't the end of the world. My place was a large two bedroom and faced the golf course so I...

The frist time I stayed here was in 2002 for 2.5 months, and all our duffle bags, which we had stored in the laundry room (of our individual apartment) were stolen by the maids who cleaned daily. Because they were stored and it was something we didn't need again until the end of a long trip, we didn't realize they...

We got robbed the third night we stayed at the place. Apartment was exposed to the Golf Course, from where intruders came in and apparently chloroformed us through the window and stole our belongings while we were in bed next door. Hotel staff gave us no warning beforehand, was no assistance for us after the event, no support for police...

Billed as being the most luxurious apartments in Kampala, these apartments failed to meet expectations. Whilst the location was great, the apartments were pricey, shabby and poorly equipped. A refurb is definitely over due. We found that the kitchen utensils were extremely basic (there wasn't even a bottle opener) and considering the lack of air conditioning, we weren't even provided...

“No elevators - ask for 1 or 2 floor”

“There is an upper gate and a lower gate. If you stay in rooms near the upper gate, there is a lot of "night life", i.e. people entertaining what we refer to in my business as commercial sex workers... Also, ask to see the room first. A large Southeast Asian (e.g. Indian origin) populations lives in these apartments, and we were initially put next to a room that we were later told is a shrine and the incense was OVERWHELMING.”
