Located in a quiet and safe area, with good staff and a pool. Small-scale and personal - and with a nice restaurant, which implies you don't have to look for somewhere to eat if you arrive late after a long day out and just the thought of leaving again makes you feel tired...

Very friendly and kind staff, comfortable rooms with good working space for the business traveler and centrally located to most Kampala businesses. Also, the pizza is the best I've had in Africa! I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed two nights at Urban and thought it was just "okay" until on the second night we were awakened by mosquitoes buzzing around our ears. Two weeks later, my husband was diagnosed with malaria and needed to go to the hospital for transfusions! This was in spite of being very faithful about taking our prophilaxis medication. No moquito nets,...

This is a very pleasant hotel, and the best I have stayed in in Kampala so far. The staff is friendly and eager to help (the manager got personally involved in sorting out my internet connection) and the rooms are big, modern and clean. The internet connection is good and wifi also works in the rooms. My room did not...

Lovely beautiful hotel. Food and service was very good in their in-house restaurant Cafe Mamba. I had the Madagascar steak that was on the special board, very tender and well presented. . Visited the rooms above the restaurant, they are very nice but too few. Good thing they are expanding.

I spent a week here on business, working from the hotel much of the time, receiving contacts in the restaurant and enjoying the atmosphere, the food and the friendly staff. The rooms were clean and the balcony and coffee-maker were welcome. The impeccably clean pool added to the leisurely atmosphere. The only downside was returning problems with the wi-fi. I...
