My sister and I stayed at Shivapuri Heights Cottage for 4 nights in November and had a fantastic time! The views of the mountains from the cottage are breathtaking. The staff at the cottage are very friendly and go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. My favorite part of my stay was definitely the food - affordable and...

Having spent a week in the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu, Shivapuri was a wonderful retreat, to soak in the countryside, eat family style meals, enjoy the view of the city and relax. Poinsetta cottage was wonderful, I wish I could have stayed longer. The service is wonderful, with hot water bottles for the beds and a fresh coffee thermos...

After a busy week in Kathmadu a small group of us came to Shiva Puri Cottage to relax, the others were leaving earlier than me and I had planned to go back into town or on somewhere else for my last few nights, but had no real plan. As soon as I saw Shiva Puri and learned they had a...

We visited Shivapuri to escape the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu with some family members from the UK. Our kids loved the beautiful gardens (with huge spiders) and the friendly dogs. At dusk we sat on the veranda, enjoyed a drink and as darkness came a fire was lit. Only a short drive from our house in Lalitpur but Shivapuri...

Anyone who visits Kathmandu is not only excited by the exotic atmosphere, colourful people and exquisite architecture and craftsmanship, but also cannot fail to be aware of the overwhelming dust, smells and noise of the place. After a week in Kathmandu I sought somewhere to find a little peace and quiet whilst still absorbing the amazing culture so I decided...

We returned to Shivapuri Heights on our last visit to Nepal three weeks ago. Our last stay was more than 10 years ago when we were living in Kathmandu. It is beautiful and cosy with stunning views over The Kathmandu Valley. The food was delicious, we had a wonderful head massage, there are some very pretty walks locally, the air...

After a week of sightseeing the famous destinations in and around Kathmandu by navigating a maze of streets and mind boggling traffic, I decided to pay my third visit to Shivapuri Heights Cottage. Instead of taking the 4-wheel drive up to the cottage, I walked up the trail used by locals on a steep wooded trail into the fresh air...

I have enjoyed every minute of my stay here at Shivapuri heights cottage, the staff are attentive and the hosts Neeru and Steve have made me feel like family during my solo adventure.
