In the heart of thamel, the most active area of katmahandu. The rooms are clean and easy access to the thamel life. They were kind and helpful. They have restaurant and spa. Wifi is a bit slow but working fine. I would recommend it.

We have stayed here twice in the past month. The first room was very average and I wouldn't have recommended it but our second room has been much better. Almost like a completely different standard. Working air con on the second visit was a real bonus. Don't expect any hotel in Kathmandu to be quiet - you will be woken...

My family was pleasantly surprise by the beautiful garden and its peaceful atmosphere when we arrived. The courtyard with beautiful decoration of greenery looks very different from the hustle and bustle of the busy streets just 50 metres away. I'm a light sleeper so the distance away from the traffic was wonderful as I could sleep through the night. Good...

I recently spent a few days in Kathmandu and stayed the entire time at the Thamel Eco Resort. Really nice. It is at the end of a quiet street where you can barely hear the traffic and yet less than 60 seconds down the road you're in the thick of the Thamel action. The rooms are spacious, the beds are...

A great hotel - clean, great staff, good food and close to 'the action' in Thamel. The staff are pleasant, courteous, helpful and friendly. I've stayed here on both my visits to Kathmandu and would not stay anywhere else. Th courtyard is especially great - a haven away from the bustle of Thamel - quiet and great place to sit...

We stayed at Thamel Eco Resort when we arrived in Kathmandu for the Ghorepani Poonhill trek. Whilst it was right in the hustle and bustle of the busy tourist area of shops and restaurants it is set back just off the Main Street and despite the noise of the traffic it was really quiet and peaceful. On arrival we were...

I have stayed here several times. Mohan has ensured that the resort is getting better. Showers are now consistently hot. WIFI is free and in short not a bad place at all to spend some time. Conveniently located in the centre of noisy Thamel, but the garden is a peaceful place to while away a few hours.

Clean rooms, friendly staff and good breakfast. In a crazy city a nice retreat. Great wifi. Excellent day trips organised as well. Location ideal - walking distance from everything in the Thamel district.

Thamel is a noisy place, but Thamel Eco-Resort is just off the main street and is amazingly quiet. The gardens are beautiful and provides a great place to relax after a busy day in Kathmandu. Rooms are good, and service was really great. Wonderful staff.
