Spent 4 nights at the Eco Resort at the beginning and end of a trek. Had a lovely yoga and meditation classes, and spa onsite as well. Rooms were comfortable and clean, with AC even (a huge win when it's 95 degrees and most places only have a fan!). The staff was extremely friendly and courteous, and went out of...

Stayed here in 2014 when travelling around nepal. I couldn't fault the place and offered an ideal mix of East meets West in terms of home comforts. Would definitely stat here again and recommend to people as a first stop point when in Nepal.

I stayed at the Eco Resort for about one week, but broken up by a couple short excursions. Overall, every time I returned days or weeks later, the staff remembered me and were always kind and responsive to my needs (cleaning a room, using a locker, using their office printer, etc.) I would say the only thing about the Eco Resort...

We only had one night here but it was great! We were a bit overwhelmed arriving in Kathmandu with the hustle and bustle but this hotel is set back enough that it takes you out of that. It was nice with our 4 year old son, he could run around the court yard area as we enjoyed a beer and...

The Eco Resort is centrally located in Thamel, you take a short walk down an alley and then enter a calm peaceful courtyard. Such a pleasant change from the busy street just outside. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are all helpful and attentive. Plenty of options for breakfast, very relaxing spot before heading out for the...

We stayed 3 nights in Thamel Eco Resort. Inside it is a very good, peaceful, and quiet location with an inside garden where we had our very good breakfast that was included in the price. Clean room, hot water in the bathroom. Very good service helping us with any question. They arranged transport to the airport.

I stayed at this wonderful hotel for 2 nights before and 2 nights after my trek to Mt Everest Base Camp. Thamel Eco Resort was centrally located in Thamel, Kathmandu and was within walking distance of all shops, nightlife and restaurants. Hotel staff was friendly and professional. I had to move out of my previous hotel after 1 night due to lack of hot water and this place was recommended by a friend. I stayed 5 nights and the hotel with its lovely courtyard was a calm and peaceful oasis. The owner, Mohan and manager, Padam could not do enough to make my time in Kathmandu more...

I stay here every time I come to Kathmandu. I used to use a fancy hotel just outside the old town and decided that something with more character (and better service) might suit me. This is it. The usual challenges in Kathmandu with solar hot water and power outages happen here too, but most of the time the wifi works...
