It is easy to stay at Katmandu in this hotel. It is not the cheap one but it is safe. It was $26 a night to a small room with two twin bed, hot shower and breakfast. It is better you take a short walk in the morning to have a nice breakfast at the bakery. The good about this...

I stayed at Stupa View Lodge just out of Kathmandu for 2 weeks recently. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and the family very helpful. I can readily recommend this lodge for people who want to be out of the noise of Thamel  but still close to Kathmandu. There's a very nice garden and the view from the roof is...

This was my first trip back to Kathmandu since 1995, and I was rather shocked by the changes that have taken place: noise, motor bikes, unrestrained construction and infrastructure that can't cope with the population increase.
