Loved my time here but unfortunately only got to spend 24 hours there. High above the Kathmandu Valley, on the edge of Shivapuri National Park, Shivapuri Retreat is a breath of fresh air in so many ways. The air is clear as you look down on the Kathmandu smog, it is quiet with bird song dominating, and the room in...

We reached there right before sunset. The magnificent view of the Shivapuri dusk followed by the night view of Kathmandu was nothing short of extraordinary. With the cool rejuvenating wind blowing gently over our faces, sipping Khukuri Rum, and facing the organic kitchen garden and the entire Kathmandu Valley, the evening was exceptionally beautiful. It is a peaceful getaway spot...

A peaceful place with clean and green evironment for complete relaxation. Shivapuri retreat is a lovely escape into nature from Kathmandu. Raj and Pratiksha were wonderful hosts. Food was delicious. The room is clean and cosy, with hot shower and a very good matress. On the edge of Shivapuri NP, so easy to go hiking. The garden is beautiful. Hope to return soon! 🙏✨

The best way to have a complete retreat round the clock. We had a marvelous stay in Shivapuri Retreat. Classy interiors, very good service and some excellent dining too. Very reasonably priced too for a resort like this.

You can enjoy the tranquil village setting and the incredible views overlooking the Kathmandu valley. We arrived early evening and enjoyed a lovely welcome drink in the garden. What...

Nestled in the hills of Shivapuri National Park overlooking Kathmandu Valley from the north, the view is nothing but spectacular. The BBQ was very succulent and juicy, the spices well penetrated and done just right. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to all our requests. The food was delicious, the breakfast a feast. The rooms were meticulous and the...

What a treat to stay here. This is not a hotel, not a guesthouse, rather a home where you'll be welcomed in to the family. Mads, Clare, their son Oskar and team have two very comfy guest rooms in a separate unit from their home which serves as a perfect place to relax for a few days. Situated about 500m...
