I've arrived to Hotel Utse after a 11 days exhausting Mount Everest trekking trip, therefore this Hotel was a paradise for me, however It has some weaknesses. Positive: very good kitchen, helpful and kind staff, who do evertything for guests. Stayed here and never felt as if I was in a hotel. The stay was so good and memorable. Staff is good and rooms are very neat and clean. In the heart of Thamel Jyatha. Lot of shopping area outside. Food is very tasty here.

I stayed here with my wife, the stay was so nice. My wife liked the place a lot.The staff is very good and helpful. The food is also very yummy freshly cooked. the restaurant at ground floor is always full. Rooms are so beautifully decorated, full of warmth and love.

We stayed here for a week's time. The hotel was super good. The staff is extremely helpful and attentive. Rooms are good clean and spacious. Food is super yummy. Free WiFi so you can commect to your family easily. In the heart of Thamel. The tourist hub of kathmandu. I enjoyed my stay.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks and loved it! I stayed at the rear of the hotel which helped with controlling noise at night. This place had serious character and the owners are just so lovely. Traditional Tibetan, run by a coupl who moved from Tibet about 40y ago, great Tibetan food, beautiful sun terrace where we could take breakfast,comfortable rooms,and so much character,hot water and good wifi downstairs Staff very helpful,

A homely comfy little hotel visited and blessed by the Dalai Lama himself. Mama Utse the lady owner of the hotel has such huge warmth and is always flowing with gentle kindness. We are regular travellers to Nepal and the Utse was the first guesthouse we stayed in in Kathmandu in 1995. We returned many times year after year and got to know Dikkie and her family well. Charming place to stay in Kathmandu. I've been staying here every time since I started visiting Nepal in 2002 (6x).
