You should expect a different standard than, what you would get in Europe or North America. But considering Nepal, I think that this is a quite good hotel, you have a nice garden to relax in, it is smack in the middle of Thamel, which is the hotspot for tourists, and honestly we had some surprisingly quiet nights. Our only...

Nirvana is not 5*****, but you can not wait more with this rate, 30-40 euros. Garden is great with your own cat and bird, restaurant is great and not too exspensive, WIFI is slow and sometimes not working. When tired noise in Thamel, this is great. Nice shops are round the corner, and my favourite is shop making t-shirts etc,...

I stayed here two nights before heading to Everest base camp trek. Location it's perfect, rooms are big but very old fashion, not too much water on the shower. The buffet bfast was fine, people were smiling and helpful. This said for the price I wouldn't stay here again.

When We went to this hotel asking for room, they asked back whether it is for Nepali or foreigner. When we said we want room for us (we were 2 male colleagues of same organization) they ignored to provide to Nepali. The staff at reception demeaned us for being Nepali. It is the incident of 6th-Oct-2015 around 7 PM. I...

Dear Mr. Bhandari, We regret the unfortunate incident. However, as a policy we do not encourage to accommodate local guests of unknown background because of numerous problems with the police that we had to face earlier. We are warned to allow local guests only of authenticated background and with some reliable reference. So we accommodate only either persons of travel...

My wife & I stayed at the Nirvana Gardens before & after the 2015 Nepal earthquake. We stayed there with our trekking group from Wollongong,Australia & trekking company 'Adventure Imagine' - we found it comfortable & nice - the staff we always willing to accommodate us in any way re: with luggage, cups of teas & answering our questions, etc....

We stayed at this great hotel before departing to Everest Base Camp and on our return. The service was first class and staff were so accommodating and courteous. Unfortunately, we were in Kathmandu when the earthquake struck. The hotel provided a safe haven to shelter and staff stayed at their posts to look after and serve their customers in the...

I stayed at this hotel with a group of 8 friends. All rooms were functional though a little 'rustic' as expected in this area. Bathrooms are OK though dated, hot water was plentiful throughout the stay (4 nights in total). Staff were very attentive and cheerful and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Great location in central Thamel. Wi-Fi...

I stayed here in March/April for the ninth time. It feels like a second home. As usual the staff are friendly, courteous and can't do too much for you. Breakfasts were great, served on a balcony from my room with my husband. I specially recommend the porridge and honey. Evening meals we usually went out into thamel. The porters are...

Stayed here in March. Fine hotel. Quiet location, clean rooms. I had a room with a balcony and view on the garden, which made it feel spacious. I did not have breakfast or diner, so cannot say anything about the food.
