Check-in done early morning, staff were so good and welcoming. Stayed in penthouse Suite room at the top with Jacuzzi inside. Breakfast can be served 24hrs, Reception 24hrs. They organised tours as well "Royal Penguin Adventures". I recommend this hotel to everyone who prefers the best service. Will come back again :)

I Visited with my friend for just a cup of coffee and gossip. Fresh ambience, good service and nice food. This place won't let you down. This hotel is pretty different from what you usually see in thamel. One of the best in thamel. Must go place.

I stayed here for two nights. The hotel is neat and clean including the rooms. The staff is courteous and always up for helping. They have a spa as well which is good though a little bit more expensive compared to other spas around the hotel. But the service is good. Food was ok except the American breakfast which is... More

My son and I stayed here two weekends in a row with a tour in between. This place was the calm amid the storm. Thamel is a loud, noisy, crazy and exciting place to be but when we walked through the doors of the Royal Penguin calm ensued. The rooms were beautiful and clean. Even during the rolling blackouts we... More

Service and people were amazing amid power cuts. The Hotel is a few steps away from the busy market and restaurants. Extremely convenient for shopping. We had 2 rooms - one double and they gave us an upgrade to the penthouse. Everyone at Penguin hotel went out of their way to make our stay comfortable amid power cuts. Check in... More

We really liked this place. Staff were super lovely (although one of them tried to add my sisters on facebook and must have gotten their names from their passports, which is a breach of privacy). Restaurant served nice food. Showers were hot. Room was large and clean. Beds were comfortable. Initially the fridge in the room didn't work, but they... More

Loved the people and service in this hotel. Breakfast was great, all food was nice. We stayed in the Penthouse, power went off a few times but hotel has generator for AC, WiFi and one power socket with power board. Location the best, close to everything and safe area. Overall a great hotel.
