We moved here after a mediocre stay at another place nearby. For the same price, we got a much better room. The fan worked great and was very quiet. The backup generator/solar power during outages was a great perk. The staff are extremely friendly and happy to answer any questions or give tips on what to see and do. The...

The smiling faces of the front office staff as they welcome me back! Help is freely given when needed. Room is always spotless and the bed and bed linen are superb. I do pay the extra for a deluxe room. It's worth it after 3 weeks trekking. Location is great. Hotel fronts onto Thamel but walk around the back streets...

This is a really good hotel for a very reasonable price. We had a lush room, large and comfortable with spotlessly clean bedding. The bathroom was a reasonable size and also spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a really good situation in Thamel. I would definitely stay here again. We stayed in...

One of many disgusting places that you can easily find anywhere in Kathmandu. Dirty lining and mattress smell like someone has vomited on them. Some of the reception guys are nice though. Bathroom was comparatively clean if you look at the room but rather dark.

I am staying in this hotel during last 3 years, every season. Before this one I tried a lot of hotels in Nepal for same budget and cheaper and all of them had typical Nepalease management which you can never rely on. Potala Guest House is different. I like it because of it's reliable and friendly stuff. I never had...

I wasn't quite sure of where I was going to crash for the nights during my stay in Kathmandu and since it was my first ever trip, I had various doubts even though I had read several reviews of the Potala Guest House. However, I took a chance but certainly have no regrets as the place was extremely clean, had a...

This hotel is actually really great, it's location, it's value for money, it's staff, all of them are awesome. The rooms are quite spacious for a budget hotel, the wi-fi connection is okay, the bathroom is clean, the breakfast is great, the free water refill really helps a lot. However, the guests of this hotel is rather on the downside....
