Bandipur, a pleasant and charming hill town is situated on a hill crest that offers a magnificent view of central Nepal Himalayas and the Marshyangdi valley. Located somewhere midway between Kathmandu and Pokhara and only 8 kms above the Prithvi Highway. It is ideal spot for travelers to take a lunch break , stretch the body with a refreshing walk...

We stayed here at the recommendation of a local agent in Kathmandu. It's new having relocated from inside the park itself with a good layout and nice clean rooms. The staff were particularly helpful and knowledgeable. A good range of activities were included in the programme with safety sensibly built in to everything so even the most wary felt safe....

Stayed for 2 nights. Obviously fairly new accommodation, by appearance, with central restaurant surrounded by bungalows across pretty gardens.(Oct 13 according to reviews). Accommodation is comfortable and adequate, albeit with an indifferent water supply, electricity backed up by generator and various nocturnal visitors, but this is on the edge of the jungle. Beds and furniture were OK, although the bathroom...

IJR is a very relaxing place to stay, just outside the national park. The new resort opened at the end of October 2013, so any earlier reviews should be disregarded. We saw the old abandoned resort (which is the one pictured on tripadvisor still) and it is already starting to be taken over by the jungle. The new place is...

Stayed in the new facilities for two nights with my Mom. Simple layout - bungalows in a circle surrounding a central dining space. Had a fantastic time! > Unique location near villagers, far from other lodges. > Impeccably clean, modern facilities (including hot water). > Excellent service by very kind staff. > Excellent wild-life viewing - we saw our first...

The rooms were spacies with soft beds and a private bathroom. We got served good nepali meals. The guide told us a...

All lodges (including this one) had to move out of the Chitwan itself last year, so the old resort is no longer used. But they've built a new one just across the river. We stayed there at the end of November after a trek up to Everest. It was just a month after it opened, and already very nice. The...

We've spent 2 nights in a basic bungalow. Decent size but lots of mold and a terrible shower. Electricity went off in the evening all the time. BUT we loved loved loved the place because it is truly in the forest and we had the opportunity to ride on an elephant into the jungle. We saw deers, rhinoceros, monkeys and...
