This was my first trip to Taipei and I was not expecting much of a comfort, but Wonstar hotel is fantastic! It is not a big hotel, but it has everything that I wanted. The LCD TV has over 100 channels, mostly mandarin movies, variety shows, news, but there are english channels also, much like what I get back home....

We (3 couple) spent 3 nights at this Hotel. The location is optimal, around 6 minutes from the main station on foot and the airport bus also departs just 2 minutes on foot from the hotel. The hotel has no really lobby (just a front desk), so it is a bit unusual, but I do not really care about that....

It was a great stay at Wonstar Hotel. Located a couple of minutes away from Xi Men Ding. 5 minutes walk to Xi Men subway station which involves a walk through Xi Men Ding. The room had a great big bed. Everything was extremely clean. Does not have 5 star facilities like swimming pool and fine dining, but thats not...

Despite the original name of One Star Hotel, I would rate this a Four Star Hotel. Glad to see they're changing their name to Won Star. Nice clean & new hotel in the busy & convienent shopping /movie /eatery section of Taipei. Staff were very friendly and always greeted us with smiles. Housekeeping was exceptional. Free WiFi in room, 1/2...

Small rooms, odd shaped, with half a window if you're lucky. Polite staff, no room service etc etc. Walls are paper thin, and the noisy mobs that inhabited my floor, were inconsiderate, loud until early morning and unchallenged. (especially by me, I thought they might know karate) The wide screen LCD tv was awesome, with at least 110 channels, mostly...

The Wonstar or OneStar is a new budget hotel in Taipei and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, clean place to stay while on a budget. The location is decent, about a 5 minute walk from the Ximen metro station. I say the location is "decent" because the Ximen area is very young and has a...

Taipei is a busy city and I couldnt secure a budget hotel room 2 wks before my trip from travel agent. So i bought my flight tickets thru zuji and reserved the last room on Wonstar's offical webpage wonstar.com.tw on my scheduled 22-24/Apr. We took a rather unpleasant Freego airbus to East Dragon hotel, and yes Wonstar and East Dragon...
