I taught at Ramkhamhaeng University for a month and took up residence at J L Bangkok, which was a lovely surprise. The hotel owner actually drove out to the airport to pick me up when I arrived in Bangkok at 11:00 p.m! While there, I got to know the family of this clean, lovely, affordable, family-owned business. Ms. Julie even...

We were only in Bangkok for 3 nights, and I wanted to stay away from the madness of the center of the city. However, we didn't quite realize that JL Bangkok was that far from the sights of the old part of the city. The hotel is nice - perfectly fine public areas, and the room, while small, was what...

Don't let the lack of atmosphere fool you, JL Bangkok is the best family-run place to stay! Tucked back in an alley off the main street, it can be a bit intimidating if you arrive at night. But, once you get a feel for the place and see it in the daylight, any qualms that you had will go away!...

Unforgettable experience in Bangkok, made my trip to be pleasant and cheerful...=] my friend and i stayed at the hotel for 5 nights, all the staff were dedicated and heart to serve. As we two were not so familiar with BKK, every morning the receptionist proactively teached us how to transport from one place to another place, clearly with the...

I spent 6 nights at this hotel the first week of November. I had concerns about the hotel given the low price of the room. Upon arrival and seeing the room (and having access to the free Internet), I was stunned. In the U.S., I would pay 2 to 3 times more for a similar room. I also found the...

I was just looking for a cheap and clean one night accomodation near to the airport and ended up at the JL Bangkok. I was attracted by the pictures on their website. Location: The hotel is situated in a small street, so that there is only some noise from the front of the hotel, where some small buses stop. The...

We wanted a stop over for a couple of nights in Bangkok prior to travelling on to Phuket and we found a little gem in JL. This is a small family run hotel and it shows for £9 each a night including breakfast (£1 = 47baht) we had spotlessly clean rooms and freshly cooked breakfast - what more could you...
