The hotel is quite compact, so the rooms aren't the biggest you have seen. But the staff were very friendly, it had an elevator however, the A.C in our room didn't work too well. The toilet is small but clean, so is the room. There weren't much noise at night as the windows were double glazed. They said they have...

Rikka Inn is a clean hotel with friendly staff. Pleasant refreshments can be found on the roof of the hotel as a swimming pool with a terrace. At night, noisy music from the street was heard. Just use earplugs :-)

The rooms were both comfortable and keep very clean. Rikka was located right in the heart of the action on Khao San Road, just walk out the door! The flip side of this was that loud music played well into the early hours and even reached the rooms at the very back of the hotel. I found the Housekeeping staff...

I was a bit worried about staying here after reading the mixed reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. We stayed here for 4 nights over Songkran and although noisy which is what I expected I couldn't really fault the hotel. We stayed in a twin superior room on the side of the hotel. The air conditioning unit in our room...

This is a horrible hotel. Rude staff. Pool is not what it seems in the picture. It's noisy, every room is and there's giant neon lights outside all the windows. Everyone there is trying to rip you off. STAY ANYWHERE else. Avoid this hotel and khao San road completely. This is barely a 1 star hotel. Facilities were dirty, air...

The rooms aren't what the pictures make them out tonne and are very basic, especially the bathroom, well washroom the showers not dry good and doesn't get warm. The rooms are probably overpriced for what they are. We arrive really early in the morning and they allowed us to check in early but they did say this would be a...

It is too expensive and not clean. Toilet is bad with the old facilities. The staff is ignorant, not friendly. Location: inside Khao San road, it is crowded and funny. However, music is shut down at 3 - 4 am, too noisy, can not sleep. Food: many restaurants surrounding

Budget hotel with a pricy cost! Don't be fooled by the pictures of the rooms only a few actually look like that. We were given a very small room with a tiny window even though we paid nearly 4000 baht for 3 nights. When we arrived we saw a sign with cheaper prices for our room which was annoying. Location...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
