It was an ideal location to where my meetings were going to be, Dusit Thani. The MRT and the BST stations are very close, and it is easy to travel around the city using it. For those wanting to walk, there are lots of places to visit and see. I was impressed with the rooms and I have no complains...

The Pros: The best location as it is only 5mins walk to the nearest BTS and MRT station. Just a short walk to the nightlife in Silom. Staff were ok as they are able to speak english. We booked a standard room for double but upon arrival, we got a free upgrade to a superior room. I noticed the lemongrass...

In terms of location, it is great - close to Silom Complex, Saladaeng BTS, my favourite massage place and Thai food joint. Booked it when the demonstrations began and got a good price so no complaints about price, Negatives - breakfast is nothing to write home about. As mentioned previously, it is very basic. I had toast, marmalade and strawberry...

Although location is great, closed to saladeang BTS and Silom MRT. As soon as you arrived, you're welcome by a strong scent of Mosquitos repellent (everyday!!) The room is tiny, old, mouldy shower curtain, rotten mirror frame. Stench from the bathroom. Well, if you don't mind is ok. AC is ridiculously installed right next to the bed, I caught a...

We stayed 3 nights here over the new year period and were very impressed. The hotel is less than a 5 minute walk from the buzz of Silom Road, but the area around the hotel is so incredibly quiet! Nice touch was the "help yourself" snack bar available all day along with tea/coffee. Our room was on the small side...

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and everything was perfect. The rooms are clean, the staff is very friendly (as are most locals) and the location is great. Although the rooms are small, they are very clean and provide all the essentials plus more. They are equipped with air conditioning, a tv (news channels in various languages),...

We stayed there on two occasions while traveling to Thailand. The rooms were clean and tidy and bed was comfortable. It was also very handy to everything. Staff were very polite and friendly. This is not a big hotel but you get a more personal service. Would highly recommend.

I enjoyed a two night stay here for 1560 TB per night which I thought was reasonable given I was keen to stay in this locale. A little hard to find as the premises shown on their website on the corner of their lane (adjoining property) is no longer 'Mimi's' so don't go looking for that! As a dinosaur travelling...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
