My husband and I stayed 3 nights here. Our room had air con and hot shower. The bed was very comfortable and had nice firm pillows as well. The owner and the rest of the staff are super nice. The guesthouse is conveniently located near Khaosan Road..yet we don't hear all the noise coming from there, which is good. It's...

We booked a room at Crown Guest House but I guess since it's a shared business we were taken down the street to this one. The room is very small, but what do you expect, I guess. The only real positives are the A/C was cold, within 5 minutes walking distance to the main strip, and the view from the...

This place is very closer to Khaosan Road (KSR) activity area , you can reach KSR within 3-5 minutes from this hotel. Rates are cheaper than mid KSR area. Access: When you come from Democracy monument side to reach the famous Khaosan Road you have to come along Tanao Road and KRS is at LHS of Tanao Road. Go along...

There seems to be some confusion between the "New" Central Guesthouse, and the "Old" Central Guesthouse. They are NOT the same. I always stay at the NEW Central Guesthouse, and have always enjoyed my stay there. The staff are friendly, and it is quiet most of the time. Great value for a private room with bath, air-con, and wifi for...

I dunno 'bout the "New" un, but stayed at "old" un! It's VERY BASIC, but cheap. Showers and toilets are shared. Free WiFi and use of two computers in lobby area. Another plus is that it's in a quiet area off any main street. If people in neighbouring rooms are reasonably quiet it's ok. And just down the backstreet are...

The rooms are clean and as it is in a quiet alley only a stone throw away from Kon San road away. Very convenient to be close and still have your nights sleep. I am sure there are cheaper accommodations around, but a clean mattress is worth a lot. The night receptionist might seem a little strange and only has...

This is a small guest house about 5 minutes walk from Khao San. Maybe another reviewer has this guest house confused with a hotel of a similar name on Khao San. The owner is a very polite and helpful man that speaks English very well. Large simple rooms that are very clean and quiet. Costs range from about 200 to...

The Bangkok center hotel is certainly not a five-star place. But it offers extremely good value for the money. The rooms are spacious and clean. The location is central enough to actually walk to most places. The breakfast buffet is a nice treat. But be aware, that the central location also means that there are touts and scammers everywhere. Leave...

Staying in Chatuchak

Neighbourhood Profile
Chatuchak
Every weekend, thousands of tourists make their way up to this Northern Bangkok suburb to get lost in an enormous maze of shops at the Chatuchak Weekend Market. Home to almost 10,000 vendors, you’ll find everything from vintage sneakers to comic books and Thai handicrafts being sold here. You name it, Chatuchack probably sells it. The market is a great place to pick up souvenirs, but be sure to bargain for a good price. After a day of shopping and strolling around, the lush green lanes of Chatuchak Park are a welcome relief.
