I so wanted to love this hotel as it is clear that an effort has been made to differentiate it from the mass of other hotels at the £100/night price point. Check into room 410 went well but the main problem with this hotel became immediately apparent when at 4pm we could hear the Chinese guests next door chatting away as if there was no wall. I immediately asked reception if they had seen my request for a quiet room and told them that this level of noise at night would be unacceptable. I was told that they had seen the request but the “ceilings” were very thin and even if we moved rooms the chances were that the same problem may arise. I was told that if there was an issue I could phone reception and they would make sure things were quiet. Give the hugely positive reviews on TA I was reassured. On the second night at 4am a pop up nightclub (with no music to be fair) started in room 411. Howling and wailing and laughing. They were having such a good time that I gave them an hour to settle but at 5am I called reception. I called again at 5.30am but it wasn’t until 6.30am that the noise stopped. So a big failure from the hotel to control its noisy guests. As the same guests were staying in room 411 the next night the hotel decided that it should be us that were further inconvenienced by a room move. The move was handled poorly with 3 requests to move bags whilst I was at work being ignored. I had to do it in the end. So, this is a potentially noisy hotel for everyone. It’s such a shame because the hotel staff generally are very good. The breakfast was relaxed and one of the better buffets I’ve seen in Bangkok. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The pool is good but there are only 3 sun beds and a collection of other chairs. It looks like a private club in the pool area. Very nice indeed. However, it wouldn’t take many guests to overwhelm the space or for a noisy group to trash the ambience. Take a away the noise and I can see that some people would rate it 5. The location is very good. The surrounding area is excellent with lots of food choices. You can walk to Thong Lo Skytrain station in 5 minutes.…

The Salil blew away my expectations. a gem of a place. It was faultless. The room spotless and spacious, food plentiful and delicious. The staff were more than attentive and happy to help. I would return without hesitation and would recommend this place to anyone wanting a bit of luxury.

It's a medium hotel. Room rates are not too high. There are complete facilities, restaurants, swimming pools, fitness centers, receptionists are friendly. Especially the male staff who can speak Chinese. He looks young, but he can communicate in Chinese amazingly. I didn't expect to have staff who could speak my country's language.

Had a wonderful stay at The Salil in Bangkok. Staff were extremely helpfu and accommodating no matter the needs. Central location in Bangkok close to shopping and lots of restaurants. Would definitely stay again if we come back to Thailand.

The rooms here is super cute. The concept of the light inside a bird cage is absolutely kawaii.. We loved the breakfast. There's free popcorn served outside always. The metro station is walkable but we always prefered taking a cab. There's also a great hair salon and restaurant above it outside the hotel. The room service is excellent. They provide the cutest umbrellas and you can purchase them too. Overall, we loved our stay.

All the staffs were considerate and friendly towards customers. And the work is also speedy. The rooms are large enough and kept clean. On the 8th floor, you can enjoy complimentary cookies, coffee, sticky rice, etc., during Happy Hour. It was a good experience, and I would like to visit again.
