Stayed here for 2 nights. Costs 1200 baht per night. Our room had twin beds. It was clean. The bathroom had a glass sliding door. There was a 7-11 and travel agency at the first floor of the hotel. The small swimming pool located at the rooftop can only fit 5 to 7 people. It is beside lots of restaurants...

We stayed here at the beginning of April as a group of eight (four couples) looking to party it up and do some shopping in Bangkok before heading to the islands. I was a bit skeptical because the hotel had a low star rating and was so affordable - five years of reviewing top-end hotels for a living has made...

We stayed here during the New Year, April 14, great location, and would probably stay again, swimming pool great on roof top, small rooms, towels desperately need replacing. Staff not keen to put up third bed into boys room even though it was booked. Pay cash on arrival plus 1000baht deposit, which was a surprise.

The best part about this place is the location, as you are close to khao San road and all the night life but you are far enough away to get to sleep, the other good thing was the roof top pool which was very nice. Downsides were the room smelt of smoke and was very small, also the staff weren't...

We stayed here as a couple in March 2012. We stayed here for a couple of nights so that I could experience Touristy Bangkok. To be fair to the hotel, its bang in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of Khaosan, and having stayed in a couple of the other hostels in the area, this was definitely the...

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. We had some resevation problems, but the staff was very friendly and helpful, and it all turned out good. I will stay here, if I come to Bangkok again. Very nice place to stay, with a good location.

We had 3 nights here at the start of our 2 week hol and the room was pretty good. Not 5* but your in BKK and the room is for sleeping! Walk outside and you are right in the thick of it with bars, eateries and street stalls. A short walk from the river and other main sites a cheap...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
