If you're worried about your budget, this place is great value for money: nice atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff. (They gave us some really good address to get some massage). This hotel is in a very convenient location: close from Khao san road, but in a quiet area so that you won't be disturbed by the noise. I strongly...

Clean, bug-free and very nice room (and for me: non-noisy neighbors). The mirror where for tall people though, so I couldn't see myself, but that is a TINY problem because this guesthouse is just lovely :). Breakfast is included and really good (I chose fresh fruit, toast and coffee every day) and the price great for being in Bangkok. The...

Fantastic place. Helpful and pleasant staff, nice room, close to all the action (but not too close that it's too loud), and a generally great hotel. Nice little breakfast on offer too to set you up for the day, which you can eat in the beautiful outside surroundings of the garden. Would definitely stay here again!

This is a beautiful place that is near enough yet far enough from Khao San road. We first stayed two nights when we got to BK and then the last two nights before we headed back. Everything works smoothly and quietly without fuss. The staff are super nice which is not that unusual in Thailand but I really found them...

The perfect location for those who want to meet the very touristic banglumpoo and have an experience about Thai culture. Everybody is very gentle and the breakfast is amazing. I will come back for sure.

I booked this place a week or so in advance of arriving in Bangkok to start a 7 week trip around Indochina. Although a little more expensive than my normal (backpacker) budget, after 15 hours of flights at very unsocial hours I knew I'd need somewhere to recover and a good base to check out Bangkok and arrange onward travel....

The owner is a really nice lady and this was our first ever stay in Asia. Hopefully every guesthouse is the same! With a bit of a (nice)messy common area, it feels like home. Our room were a bit small, but ok. Good and clean showers and toilets!

Good location as it was close to everything but not in the madness of Khaosan. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast set you up for the morning. The most valuable aspect of this guest house was the advice from the staff who saved us a lot of money in helping us to navigate the very cheap public transport of...

Sam Sen Sam is the perfect place to stay at in Bangkok. It is located in a small road and therefore it is really quiet at night. Still you can walk everywhere in the historical centre of Bangkok. Breakfast is quite good, especially the italian coffee. The rooms are simple, but clean and staff is very friendly and helpful.

I would not recommend it. This place is average. We booked tours through them and were very disappointed, we have paid more than others plus a vip bus they booked for us for 1300b costs only 860b at bus depot. They are very greedy and often rude. Rooms were rather clean although we found nails on the floor. Breakfast included...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
