Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the
area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.

Food prices in BKK has increased but you can still find reasonably priced local food at food courts located at shopping mall such as Terminal 21, MBK, Emporium, Siam Paragon, Central etc..and they are very clean and hygenic...less street food nowadays after government clean up.
near Anantara Hotel you can try (and experience) Sara-Jane’s...
if adventurous with street food can travel further to visit the night markets like Rod Fai

Hi we stay at this hotel twice annually it is a fabulous hotel and location is great as you don't have all the noise and hustle and bustle of the centre. Its really not that far from Chong Nonsi its about 10-15min walk to the Chong Nonsi sky train station. There is no shuttle bus that I am aware of but the taxis are extremely cheap around 40bht or £1GBP super easy and the doormen can get you one within mins, the traffic can be quite heavy though which is why we always just walk and you see more that way too - I hope this helps
