This hotel looks like a film studio from the sixties. Each room has a particular theme. This hotel is a must see in Bangkok. Within walking distance from the BTS station Saphan Kwai, it's located near the famous weekend market Jatujak. They have daily and monthly rates. Downstairs is a Thai restaurant with reasonable price and a Thai ice cream...

I have respect for Trip Advisor reviewers and realize that all reviews are ultimately very subjective in nature, but having said that, I am genuinely confounded at all the very positive that Mystic Place has earned. Having both lived in Thailand and visited multiple times, I am familiar with the hotel scene in BKK and Thailand generally. I am also...

Great find. Im sure when this place opened it was very impressive. Now it's a little dated and rough around the edges, but this is more than compensated for by being so cheap. Staff are great, rooms interesting, breakfast OK and location excellent. Glad I've found this place. By far the best budget place Ive stayed in in Bangkok.

Short distance from the BTS station, but might be a chore if u have luggage. There's quite a few street vendors and 7-11s within walking distance. The hotel's lobby is actually connected to a cafe, and there's a rather popular dessert store across the road. Had a whole lot of people there the night I checked in and some were...

I stayed here on the advice of a friend. Its comfortable, well located and good value. Proximity to the train line to downtown is a plus in congested Bangkok. The staff at Mystic Place are super helpful. That is the main reason that my friends return to this kooky little hotel when they are in town to shop at Chatuchak....

I stayed here for the simple reason that it's nearest to Chatuchak market and it has the most great ratings/reviews from Tripadvisor community. What I liked here: Free tuktuk ride to Chatuchak and nearest BTS Station, Very Helpful & Friendly Staff, so many hawker food stalls right outside the hotel, accessible location, freedom to choose different artsy rooms, good breakfast...

The style in the rooms are cool- just like pictured. The building was secure, the room was large, Internet worked really well, AC kept the place comfortable, and shower temperature was perfect. Not too far of a walk from the sky train. Staff is very helpful and kind. Good breakfast in the morning with some unique choices. And they have...

I would recommend to anyone that looked for room space, price, location and breakfast. - The room was spacious enough to put 3 king size beds. - The price was very good for the location and the size of the room. - I liked the traditional style of the design of the room very much. - The hotel was very...

The deluxe room we had booked was simply amazing. The room was designed by some amazing fashion designers and stylists. Each room that we checked out before selecting one made it extremely difficult for us to decide which room was better as all of them were just different and amazing in their own unique way.

Mystic Place was a great hotel for the price and location. The staff was kind and helpful and even organized a free tuk-tuk to get around the neighborhood, and to/from the BTS. The room was clean, and the decoration was funky and unique. The bed was quite uncomfortable and could definitely be replaced sooner than later. But, overall, the hotel...

Staying in Ari

Neighbourhood Profile
Home to at least a dozen hip coffee shops, sophisticated boutiques and some seriously fine restaurants, Ari is the newest epicentre of Bangkok cool. Fleeing from the skyrocketing rents in Thonglor and Ekamai, many young urbanites made Ari their new home. This mostly residential neighbourhood outside the city centre isn't much of a trendy area on first sight, but if you scratch the surface of government buildings and noodle shops, you'll find out that there's loads of hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Bring a local friend or do your research on beforehand to avoid missing out on all the fun.
