Situated next to an underground station with links to the sky train, 100 baht to suvarnaboom, across the road is the main railway station. Acrosss the road you will find a few bar/restaurants, very similar to the type on Khao san rd. great for people watching. The hotel deluxe room I had was very pleasant, nicely decorated and reasonably priced....

Deluxe room wasn't deluxe at all :-( Although room was clean and big enough, mattress was very old and not comfortable - in the middle it wasn't flat. The worst thing, there was no hot water! Heater was broken and although power light was on water was cold. We have tried restarting for few times, changing flow size and heat...

Thank you for your comment. I would like to explain as following. 1. The mattress is not old because we chaged all mattress less than a year. 2. Water heater did not have functional problem. After checking, it worked normally and guests who checked in later on did not complain at all. They said it worked properly.

The hotel was simple but the essentials were there. It was quite clean and the position was excellent, just in front of the train station and underground station. Suggested for who wants to be in an strategic position in Bangkok and who is looking for a modest but good value for money hotel.

We stayed here as a family of 5 for 2 nights. We hired 2 rooms, the room used by me and my husband was clean and relatively spacious, a little basic but it contained everything we needed. The room occupied by our children was clean but very cramped, three teenage girls in a twin room plus a roll out bed,...

Great location, easy to find and you can be at the railwaystation in 5 min or less. Hostel itself is clean, wifi available at all levels and with decent speed (not the fastest, but definetly not the slowest one on out travels). Room was good as well, airconditioned, fridge, clean and with a great shower. Service: We checked out at...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
