Very good clean budget hotel. All the basics you would expect and more. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location with the breakfast area situated right next to the river with excellent views. You can step out through the back entrance right onto the harbour and take a ferry. Hotel also has a swimming pool which was essential when we...

We stayed here for 3 nights at New Year, we had a city view room which had a huge balcony and we enjoyed sitting outside with a beer. The rooms are basic but clean and quiet. Great location for site seeing, river taxi and Khaosan Road. Breakfast was good and was served outside. We ate dinner here on the first...

We stayed for four nights at the end of January and had a wonderful time. The guesthouse/hotel is certainly not a luxury hotel but the rooms, beds, and bedding were quite clean and comfortable. We stayed in two deluxe river view rooms (My wife, son and I in one and my mother-in-law in the other) which had a wonderful view...

This hotel has a great location for seeing all the major sites of Bangkok and the price was very reasonable (our room was 1900 baht and prices range from 1500-4000). We had a cityview room with balcony and enjoyed being able to sit outside at night. The street is not that noisy and we didnt have any issues sleeping. The...

I stayed in New Siam Riverside for 3 days. Usually I pay little less for hotels in Bangkok (but then also get less fancier rooms) but this hotel is very price worthy. Friendly staff, good breakfast included, nice view from the restaurant. The rooms are nice, even if not brand new, very high standard for the price. Good big safety...

I stayed here in January with by husband and two adult children. My husband and I splurged on a riverside balcony room and it was worth it for the gorgeous view of the river and the entertainment provided by barges, long boats and other river traffic. The buffet breakfast served outdoors by the river was delightful, with a great choice...

Great value for your money! We paid 1500 bht for the standard room which included an amazing breakfast buffet (including good coffee, juice, muselix, real bacon, several types of eggs and sausages, pancakes, French toast, etc) which you can eat in a relaxing outdoor yard overlooking the river beside the hotel pool. The room was very clean (a few ants,...

The location of this hotel is fantastic and on that basis alone I would stay here again. We stayed in a standard room which was quiet, comfortable and certainly good enough for 2 nights in busy brilliant Bangkok! The pool is nice as is the breakfast outside with a view of the river. The downside for us though was that...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
