Stayed here few years back, recently stayed there again. The condition was not good, the AC was noisy, there was a lot of bird droppings on the balcony. I assume the hospitality industry around the world was not doing well, thus the upkeep and maintenance of the building was effected.
We loved this hotel. Highly recommended. It is an oasis of calm in a busy city. Our room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The varied range of foods provided at the breakfast buffet included both Thai, Chinese and Western food (and veggy) so we could eat tasty foods depending on our mood each day! We found the local night market opposite, 4 mins walk, (access via short pedestrian bridge), great for snacks and Thai food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The reception area relaxed. When we came down to reception ready to go out, staff quickly got a taxi from the road to come to the reception area to pick us up and helped with the language issue, by talking to the driver for us about where we wanted to go. (Taxis are metered, plentiful and so cheap in Bangkok taking us door-to-door, directly to where we wanted go.) Hotel felt a safe, relaxed base from which to get to know this lovely city. After a hectic day sightseeing, we went to the local cinema, in a complex only 4 mins walk away, and ate food from the local food stalls as well as had a drink in one of the associated restaurants there in the same complex and bought something from the handy convenience store. At the end of the day, the best cocktail we found was actually in the restaurant back at the hotel! and the price was very reasonable. We had lunch at the hotel one day too. Although we didn’t need to take the complimentary tuk tuk-like shuttle to the BTS station ourselves, it looked convenient and fun. We could see the golf driving range from our bedroom window; 2 mins walk away, but we will have to try that another time! Equally we didn’t have time this trip to enjoy the great looking pool, tennis courts or gym on the roof. We will come back again! We learnt that, for some taxi drivers, we had to say that the hotel was next to the shell petrol station and opposite the Thai Pa-Nit Bank. Then, they had no problems finding it 😊, (if they hadn’t already known where it was).…
This hotel was a gem. Such great value, very friendly staff and good location to some markets and street food. Highly recommended if you want a 4 star hotel at low cost. Easy access from airport via train with 1 change and a taxi ride.
only stayed for 1 day to visit the nearby Chatuckak weekend Market, the hotel is quite new and rooms are quite big, with a big fridge and a balcony, but best of all is the service, the front desk did offer the free trip to the Chatuchak market which it help a lot. There was a nice girl at the reception desk name Fang, very helpful describing all the amenities and services that the hotel provides. As to the nearby shoppes and places to eat. Will definitely stay again at this hotel again, it was a very pleasant stay. The reception desk girl (Fang) did a great job.
Room was very large and spacious. Since my room was not facing the main street, which was always jam packed with endless cars, I could enjoy good rest whenever I was in the room. Location wise, it is only convenient if you need to be at particular places in the area, else it takes very long time to get a car or to travel elsewhere. On one of the day, it was obvious housekeeping did not clean my room. I called and they insisted that they have already done so. Not wanting to argue further after returning to room at end of day, i told them if they insist so, just come and clean it again. Then I told the lady who came, she agrees it was not cleaned at all. It was inconvenient since I had to wait outside the room while she does it very quickly.
We wanted to stay at a hotel with reasonable proximity to both airports and MBK Center and chose this after much research. Hotel is close to the financial district and is located away from many of the tourist hotspots in Bangkok. However, it served its purpose for us - for a couple of nights in between some shopping. The pool and gym are nothing to talk about so you may as well not bother planning to use them. Breakfast at the hotel was also quite basic - but for what you pay for, probably not so bad. There is a small shopping mall about 10 minutes walk away - featuring well known marques such as Mcdonalds and Starbucks. Adjacent to the mall, there are several local places to eat - mainly catering for lunch - at very reasonable prices.
Suited our needs, exceeded our expectations. The rooms are big, clean and comfortable. The TV programming is decent. There is a mall 300 meters away with movies and endless food variety. They offer free newspapers, a free shuttle to Chatuchak market and Mo Chit station. The buffet breakfast was varied, crossed off all wants from Thai and Chinese dim sum to bacon, eggs to order, French toast, pancakes, waffles, yogurt, granola, salad fruit, juices, lattes, capacitor, coffee and teas. Could not have provided a better experience.
Relatively small hotel. Needed to stay there as we had something on near the hotel. Bed was a bit hard for my liking. And the toiletries - shampoo and conditioner need to be improved on -we needed to go buy on my own as it was too drying on our hair. There was a blackout for an hour when we were staying there. And another blackout (short one about 5 minutes) the next day during our stay. But room is big and clean, which serves its purpose.
In Bangkok with family for a weekend competition, this was first visit to north Bangkok but had nothing but praise for all departments and I was very surprised and pleased. Reception was a breeze, car parking was fine and both the breakfast (220 and child 110 baht) and room service were ideal with many choices of European and Thai meals. All in all a very friendly and definitely customer orientated hotel which I have no hesitation recommending and you can book direct or through many various hotel search engines. Please note that not close to either MRT or BTS stations but shuttle mini van will link you up and taxis arrive when reception orders within 5 minutes and taxi to and from Chatachak is about 70-100 baht each trip
Love to go back again.. Lovely and very helpful staff.. Very clean room and spacious too.. Very near to chatuchak market which is one of the famous weekend market.. On request hotel staff will call the meter taxi which is very easy mode of transportation.
