Detailed Reviews
Very good hotel location next to BTS Ploen Chit. Too small window in the room, balcony you can’t get on, AC plugs located under the nightstand (should put them somewhere else), smells not good in the wardrobe, but the room is okay. There’s a safe in the room as well as a kettle and free coffee. Very good wifi (room has its own router!). 7/11 (open 24 hours) just at the entrance of the hotel, next to Domino’s pizza (NOT open 24 hours, but closing at 11pm — you get a free 100 baht voucher to use at this place if you book directly on hotel website).

First of all I must say that the reason why I wanted to write this review is for the first timers like me who isn't sure if they should take a chance in staying with Legacy Express.
Here it goes:
We arrived at Suvarnabhumi airport late evening of 22nd June and had our money exchanged for Baht, bought food at 711 and then traveled to the hotel. 23rd June at around 1AM we arrived at the hotel front and before we even stepped out of the cab there was this jolly Thai man opening our doors and greeting us "Ni Hao! Ni Hao!" (we weren't Chinese by the way, but maybe we look liked one to him) and was immediately helping our taxi driver retrieve our luggage from the trunk. He wheeled our suitcases ahead and brought us to the reception area, where this man Terry (who spoke limited English and kept a serious albeit bewildered look on his face while we communicated) started our check in procedures (we advised ahead of time that we will be having a late check in) and after less than 20 minutes we were on our way to our room. The jolly bell captain who welcomed us earlier escorted us to our room, he even taught us how to work the elevator, heaved our luggage to a designated area (fits two medium sized suits cases) and showed us the amenities within the room and before he left I asked for his name and it was Mr. Boon Song.
A few hours later at around 7AM; we were getting ready to join the complimentary tour from the hotel (disclaimer: does not include entrance fees, tips and food but transportation to and fro the sites/hotel is free of charge as well as the guide, Pond was assigned to us who was very friendly and accommodating). Just a tip, there are three choices to choose from but because we arrived late we only had no choice but to join the Temple of Dawn and Canal tour, just in case you wanted to skip this one out it is fine but if it is your first time you should definitely go, we booked our next day's tour with the same company and it went smoothly as the complimentary one.
The Breakfast. I have been reading about this in the reviews below, I only want to add my own opinion about this. Yes the food variety is lacking and repetitive (though we ate breakfast at the hotel the whole time we were there) but it is complimentary (in our case anyway) and it still tastes edible so why not have one less meal to worry about right? Hopefully they improve the menu and renovate the room because it does look like an industrial warehouse. The guy who makes the omelette is nice and always smiling or humming.
Room 301. The room is quite nice for a budget hotel, very spacious and bright if you open the curtains. AC is a bit crazy at times, you'll have to leave it on when you step out since it can take a while to attain the right temperature you wish to have. The bed is really comfortable, pillows are OK. There are sufficient clothes hangers, towels and slippers provided. Vault in our room doesn't seem to work though. Toiletries are provided. Hair dryer is in the vanity table's drawer. 2 complimentary bottles of water, room is made clean and bed is tidied every time we got back from spending the day outside. Only issue I have in the room is because it is situated quite near a highway/motorway and if one jerk presses his honk long enough it might serve as your alarm clock. Oh and we can't seem to figure out if our door lock is broken or are we just using the key card the wrong way. We've had quite fun times trying to get it to open and the lady at the reception area is nice enough to "reactivate" our card every time we encounter problems.
Wouldn't suggest using the stairway if you can access the elevator, we barely made it out. I think they weren't expecting guests to use it so they turned it into a storage area of some sort. We almost took a wrong turn to somewhere else (laundry area perhaps?) thankfully the chambermaids pointed us to the right direction. If you are in a hurry to get down or up, then you'll know what I'm talking about then.
Phloen Chit BTS is a mere 5 minute walk from the hotel. Very convenient in going around the city. Riding their train was one highlight of my trip. It was very cheap, efficient and you get to experience Bangkok in a different way. Domino's Pizza, a cafe, an ATM machine and 7-11 is located literally outside the hotel's door.
We wanted to have a late check out (6pm on wards will be charged as one more night according to Terry) and payed extra 800 Baht to be able to stay for at least another 5 hours. Went back from tour at around 1PM and barely had time to wash up, pack and sort things out before check out. After check out, we stayed in the lobby for a little over an hour to avoid the city's rush hour because we will be taking a train to Suvarnabhumi Airport. Definitely cheaper than riding the taxi and a lot more fun too.
The staff are kind and accommodating unfortunately we didn't get the name of everyone, I only know of Mr. Boon Song (our favorite guy!), Terry and Pop. I think it was Suppatra who helped a lot when we had troubles with the key card although I am not sure.
Over all, we would stay again in Legacy Express as the pros outweighs the cons.
Special mention to Mr. Boon Song (again) who always welcomed us back with a bright smile and happy attitude with his equally friendly security guard buddy. Upon saying our goodbyes, I went and gave him a small token of appreciation from our country for being such a ray of sunshine. It finally dawned on him that we're in fact Filipino and not Chinese. He had a good laugh about it. He asked us if we wanted a cab but declined as we wanted to ride the train. He said he'll bring us to the station and immediately carried our bags and went ahead of us without turning back. My sister and I had to walk-run to keep up with his pace (he was carrying over 30 kilos of luggage!). He made sure we did not sweat bringing the heavy bags up the station, guided us as we bought the correct tickets and basically sent us off towards the trains. Very nice guy indeed.
This has been mighty long so apologies for the incessant rambling disguised as a review.
Hopefully this can help a few people.
Thank you for reading.

I had to use taxi to go this hotel from Don Mueng airport and that cost me 450tbh!!! the driver did not use meter! but returning to the same airport cost me 173tbh + 140tbh (highway tolls) by using an app called Taxigrab. yeah u need to install this app when you're Bangkok because it's cheaper and they use meter all the time plus additional 25tbh for booking fee. it's really convenient.
However, I booked this hotel without breakfast! but I can easily grab food for breakfast from 7-11 store at its ground floor of the hotel. it has hot shower, hair dryer, safe box, mini fridge and mini kettle. but the mugs are dirty like they never wash it at all! the bed is not comfy but has good size. Sometimes the hotel itself is shaking probably due to train passing nearby.
The location is good. Nana plaza is nearby and can easily get food nearby. Burger King, domino pizza (right outside the hotel), Carl's burger, Starbucks, & Arab street nearby. Phloen Chit BTS station is about 5 mins walk, just that have to cross a few roads. it's just 1 station away from Chid Lom BTS to Central world, platinum fashion mall, gaysorn, Big C & it's just two stations away to Siam BTS with mrt interchange where you can go to Siam paragon, Siam centre (high end shoppings).

My family and I have just returned from Bangkok last week (during CNY) and the experience still remains vividly in our mind.
Location wise, it is excellent and it is only about 3 mins walk to the BTS. The only challenge was crossing the 1-2 roads over to the BTS. The traffic was heavy and some were driving very fast but thankfully, there was policemen controlling the traffic. There is a convenience stall (7-11) right at the door step and a Family Mart just along Soi 1. There is a day market (open space) beside the hotel and sells a lot of cheap clothings and food. At night, it becomes a food bazaar.
Service wise, the staff gave us a very warm feeling and they were very friendly. Especially the skinny door man (not the security man). He was very bubbly and often asked where we were going and greeted us every day. Not forgetting, he always shone his torchlight after we alighted from the cab to make sure we did not leave anything behind. He also offered advice where to go for a good foot massage (Soi 3). As for the security man, he opened and held the door for us without fail. There was one occasion, his legs seemed to be hurt but he still did his role dutifully. Well done to both of them. The staff at the reception counter was also very polite and took the initiative to arrange for a cab from the hotel to the airport (450 baht including tax) which was quite reasonable.
Room wise, it was very clean and bottled water (complimentary) was replenished every day. The bed was comfortable and the air-con was really cold (good). Just that the draining of water in the shower area was quite slow and both my parents' and my room had the same problem. There is a hair dryer in the room.
Breakfast was ok. The choices were not fantastic but still bearable. The selection included bread, sausage, bacon, corn flakes, fruit juices, coffee, tea, rice and noodles.
This was our first time trying this hotel and we are very happy with our stay and we certainly look forward to stay here again in our next trip.

Just got home from a vacation in Thailand. We stayed at the above mentioned hotel and the experience was great.
Rooms: Comfortable, clean and equipped with modern amenities. It would be better if washer or dryer had been provided.
Service: Staff were friendly and we will like to commend a male staff who greeted us every morning and went out of the way to help us to direct traffic when our cab needed to get onto the highway on our way to the airport.
Checking in and out were a breeze and fast.
Daily ABF included: To be honest, it sucks! It was a total letdown. The breakfast was served in a restaurant called "Casablanca" with such dim lights it resembles a sleazy bar. Out of the 3 mornings, we only tried the breakfast for the first morning and we decided we'll pay to get better street food out there. The variety was unacceptable. Coffee was served in a cafeteria style. There is no eggs station with only cold sunny side ups available. Tasteless cabbage soup and not porridge was served. Sausages and hams were swimming in hot water for so long that it has turned soggy and tasteless. Bacon we charred and oily. The milk tasted bad and like goat milk.
Overall, the breakfast was not something expected from a hotel and was really a disappointment. This is the one sore experience during our otherwise wonderful stay at the hotel. Noting that this is commonly pointed out by fellow members on trip advisors, the management of the hotel will hopefully improve on this And cease the hap hazard way that it's being done now.
Location: just a 5 mins walk to the Ploen chit BTS, it's also just 2 stops away from Siam interchange. So the hotel is very conveniently located to all major shopping districts and with a 7-11 located just within the premise. One hidden gem that we discovered was a local food fare located just next to the hotel. In the morning, the area operates as a market that sells clothings, shoes and bags. Around 5pm, it will be transformed to a seafood centre that locals eat at. You will have to look past the exteriors of the environment though and it's definitely not for the faint-hearted. But the food tastes great and only costs US$7.50 for a 7 dish meal. There are 2 seafood stalls in the centre and we tried the one on the outside, nearest to the road.
Overall: Enjoyable and good stay! Good for the budget conscious. Paid around US$190 for a 3 nights stay.

Stayed here for 4 nights. My friend was in the 5 star 'Pathuman Princess' but I didn't want to spend that much on a room.
This hotel is close to everything;Skytrain BTS station 3 mins away, 7 Eleven 24hr shop next to the hotel and a street food court that opens next door after a certain time in the night. Red light areas: Nana plaza and Soi cowboy are only a couple of stops away on BTS or Taxi/Tuk Tuk ride. Sukhumvit alley 4 (soi 4) is 2 mins away if you are looking for some company for a couple of hours or the evening. You can bring x1 guest back to the hotel at no extra cost, the guest is simply asked to leave I.D at reception.
I felt safe in the area and staff are friendly at the hotel. My room was clean in all areas, I don't expect much at that price and I only want a clean bed, shower and toilet. If I'm not sleeping, washing etc then I'm not there at the hotel.
I would stay there again, providing everything is the same or better.

It's really great that we've made a right choice. The room is good enough for 3 of us with clean bathroom. I have a good sleep here due to nice and comfortable bed & pillow. Location is very convenient to everything and near BTS. Nice and friendly staffs especially the bellman (uncle) duty in the morning time. I'll definitely be back to this hotel when i coming to Bangkok soon.

The location of the hotel was quite near to Phloen Chit BTS station, roughly about a 3 or 5 minutes walk from one of the exit to reach Legacy Express.
You are able to find food, drinks sold by street vendors near the road-side. For your convenience, there is a 7-11 convenience shop and a domino pizza outlet located just right below the hotel.
The room that i was offered was spacious and comfortable, lightings in the room was bright , bed is clean and new. There is also a safe box inside the old wardrobe and underneath it has a fridge.
Efficient attitude responses from the house keeping staffs(there are two of them) to cater my needs and offered me the complimentry water daily. The walk-way besides the room has closed-circuit cameras around.
The service man, Khun BoonSong has the right attitude and bring his smiles to me whenever he sees other hotel guest and me. Working in the late shift is tough for him but you will never fail receive his smile and greeting. Thumbs up BoonSong! I will be back again and happy to see you around !
Overall, be it transports(Taxi,Bts,Tuk Tuk) , food or daily necessaries , Legacy Express Hotel do has it. Certainly will be back for my next stay! See you ~
