I would recommend the Sunflower Place in Bangkok. On a recent trip around SE Asia myself and my partner arrived in Bangkok and flew home from Bangkok. On both occasions we stopped at the Sunflower Place. On our arrival in Thailand we stopped there for 7 nights (we'd originally booked 4 nights, but we enjoyed it so much we stopped...

Right, this is a great wee good value hotel, so lets get the problem over with at the start. It's the mattress. A good night's sleep comes pretty high on my list of priorities when it comes to hotels, and part of that encompasses the bed. Ok, the room is nice and quiet, clean and has a balcony with a...

I stayed at the sunflower hotel on my first trip to Bangkok. The place is very easy to find if you follow the directions posted on the website. The hostel is very clean and the staff very friendly. The rooms are big and there is free Wifi in the rooms. You can also get hot water, tea and coffee from...

We had 3 nights here at the start of our South East Asia trip. The information given by the hotel is really good and easy to follow. We took the express train and BTS from the airport and the hotel is just a short walk away and very easy to find. It is on the edge of the Silom red...

staying from 28 december - 1 january 2013 in a single economy room. the journey from the airport to the hotel took me about almost one hour (via the airport express train and BTS Phaya Thai to Sala Daeng). The location is a bit further inside but it is safe to walk around with busy road leading to the hotel....

I'm really happy I found this place. If you want to have perfect river view or any other view this place not for you. But if you just want to feel yourself comfortable, to live in clean rooms with new bathhrooms for very good price, this is the place. We lived in twin - it is relatively small, but absolutely...

Exceptionally clean, rooms serviced everyday, new towels and water given. Free tea and coffee. Very close to BTS and metro, so can get everywhere no problem. Down a quiet street, so not noisy. A real gem. Would stay here again if returning to Bangkok.

Situated down a few side streets, even most rickshaw & taxi drivers find it hard to find, but it is very clean, the staff are helpful but best of all being in the Silom area it is a short walk to everything. Good restaurants, sky train and underground, shops, Lumphini Park and best of all the Patpong Night Market. If...

The place is located is a sidestreet along Silom area. The location is very good, lots of convenience stores (7-11 in every corner), money changers, restos, fastfood, and good cheap food. They also give great advice about the area. We ate our daily breakfast at the "food market" every morning which is less than 5 minutes from this place. They...

After reading many good reviews of this Hotel in Bangkok, I am sorry to say I cannot agree with any of them. A regular to Thailand for over 30yrs, having stayed at many and varied levels of Hotels, this 3 night stay has indeed been uncomfortable. For a start I will agree it is clean, it ends there. Not s...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
