It is not the most luxurious but it makes up for it with value for money, good location, service and staff good. It is a little distance down soi 8 but complimentary shuttle service available at most times. Not a noisy hotel good for sleep and rooms cleaned everyday. Nice for short stay in Bangkok.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel. It's in a nice part of Bangkok ( Sukhumvit ) and situated on a nice quiet Soi with eateries and bars. It's only a 5-10 minute walk to the Skytrain or Subway ( MRT ) We had a room on the 3 rd floor with 2 beds. The beds were comfortable and the...

I stayed for 16 nights here in room 601 on the top floor facing the back. Very quiet. All you can eat breakfast when available. Free tuk tuk lift to Sukumvit road and Nana bts station also when available. The only problem was the long walk to the hotel from Sukumit road otherwise a lovely hotel and staff very helpful and...

Located near the bottom of Soi 8 and only 8 or 9 mins walk from Nana BTS , the Sawadee is a competitively priced hotel for the area . Rooms are small , maybe just a touch too small but I might have been unlucky to be given a corner room . Wifi was free but free for a reason...

I caught 2 bedbugs in the first room and the hotel sent me to another hotel for the night because they were fully booked. The second room had no bedbugs so hopefully this is a one-off incident. Other downers are there are some dodgy services nearby and it's a bit far down the street. Good points: There is free shuttle...

Found online due to change of plan while visiting Bangkok. Set price of 1550 baht per night for a twin room with en suite and air con and breakfast. The room was well maintained and nicely furnished. Breakfast was a buffet affair with local and western foods. As our plans were fluid the very helpful staff allowed us to reserve...

Located on Sukumvit Soi 8 down the road about a 4 minute walk from Sukumvit. 12 minute walk to Soi Nana (Nana Plaza) and 17 minute walk to Soi Cowboy. The rooms are non-smoking, clean, the showers have great hot water and water pressure, and most if not all rooms have a balcony in case you want to smoke. The...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
