Sathorn Saint View (SSV) offered good value for money. Hotel staff is helpful and kind. They speak good English and offer good advice. The rooms are spacy and well equiped. WiFi is only available in the lounge which is really not so convinient, but as I anyway had my own local sim card, its not really a backdraw. The location... More

We love this place and stay there everytime in BKK. The location is great! 5 min walk from BTS but it is not easy to find it for the first time. Many vendors and 7/11 around. The terrace should be renovated, as well as the rest of hotel, the pool is ok. It is worth your money :)

If you looking for something cheap and no more then 1 week this variant for you. In my room on 2nd floor I have a conditionair, refrigerator. Too expansive internet (even for month). The little gecko lives in my bathroom like a cockroaches, ants and other spiders. Location of SSV is so strange. But if you like adventures and walking... More

We booked this hotel because we wanted something cheap before travelling on to Krabi. We paid approximately 60 USD for 3 nights so I guess you cannot go much cheaper than that. This is also a place where people rent monthly or even yearly. Apparently it is cheaper to stay here than in an apartment in Bangkok. But... you also... More

I booked this as it was the cheapest hotel closest to the Australian Embassy where I had to visit. Overtly the foyer is ok, but stairs everywhere! As Im partially disabled this was an issue, some of the steps just to get to the elevator were over 1 foot high! The manager was a camp version of Basil Fawlty (2nd... More

Arrived at the hotel 1.30 am, receptionist was drunk, gave me my key, and showed me the room. Well, I was too tired to complain. So, I just slept, and checked-out before 8 am. That's all - never ever again!

For starters, finding the place is difficult. I wouldn't have been able to without mobile data. When I finally arrived the reception staff were busy joking and laughing, and didn't even acknowledge me for about a minute. One man told me he couldn't accept my ID, (UK driving licence) but every other hotel in Bangkok accepts it, no fuss! (It... More

The way(s) to the place were creepy and scary. There is no food cart(s) or anything nearby. The place itself smelt like broken sewage. The architecture of this place is confusing. The bed linens had pubes, hair, human DNA, etc. Given that it was cheap, I wouldn't wish to ask for anything much but considering it is a place that... More

On pain of death avoid this hell hole. I can't even remember all the things I hate about it but here are a few: The dirt of the place, The noise at all hours of the day and night, the cleaners running up and down the halls at 5am, the drilling outside the windows at 7am, Dead mosquitos all over... Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
