The Somerset Rama 9 hotel has been a wonderful experience for quarantine. The rooms were very clean and well furnished (even with a washer/dryer) to support a 2 week stay, especially with the optional amenities such as a treadmill in the room. There was a large variety of foods to choose from, allowing me to try all sorts of excellent meals that the chef provided. The front desk staff (Aon, Kwang, Nina and Pim) were very quick in response for any questions I had during my stay and ensured that I maintained sufficient supplies during the stay. Definitely a great experience!

I felt very fortunate to have such a great experience to quarantine here.
With professional services from guest service team, high quality of cleanliness and hygiene, variety foods I can choose, new and fully furnished inside the room made me feel very relax and comfortable while staying here.
Although going outside the room wasn’t allowable, I and my family could stay happily until complete 15 days quarantine requirement easily.
My 6 years old son was also accountable to quarantine without any issue. He was really enjoy playing inside a small tent with a teddy bear which were prepared by the hotel.
There was a surprise present for me on Mother’s Day too. How sweet it was !!!
I would recommend this place if you are looking for the quarantine place in Thailand, where you can feel like you are quarantine at home.

I traveled to Bangkok during the pandemic, which came with its own challenges, but Somerset did an excellent job of both adhering to regulation AND making me feel comfortable. Since national guidelines called for a minimum 14-day quarantine, I booked my stay in the executive suite, and let me tell you it was worth it. I was able to have a workspace separate from the bedroom (which is crucial for someone who works from their laptop) and the suite even has a washer/dryer unit (really helpful when the rest of your stay is in the jungle).
But the amenities weren't the best part--the service was! All meals were included and they were delicious. I've never stayed in a hotel where the staff is so personable and attentive. Since I couldn't leave the room, they did everything they could to make sure the isolation wasn't too much of a burden on me. Nina checked on me every day. She arranged transport for me on checkout day and Khun Den even ran errands for me like taking my US dollars to currency exchange so I could have walking around money. This was extremely helpful since the currency exchange counters at the airport were closed when I arrived. All in all, I enjoyed my experience here despite living in complete isolation for two weeks. I made a friend in Nina who even learned my favorite food snacks and brought them to me with little notes just to brighten my day a little. I told her my back hurt once and she had the staff install a whole new mattress!
I'll definitely be returning to Bangkok where Somerset Rama 9 is the place to be.

My stay here was a 10 day quarantine package in 'One Bedroom Premier' for arriving into Thailand and I have to say my experience from being greeted at the airport right up to checking out was fantastic. Due to the nature of my work and frequent international travel I have done a lot of hotel quarantines in many countries over the last two years due to Covid but I have to say this was my best experience by far.
I will start with the room, the room was big and comfortable with everything you need. It is kitted out with all appliances and ammenities, all the furniture and bed was very comfy ensuring a good night sleep. Room also included a workstation with a lovely view over Bangkok and a balcony for fresh air. Free internet package worked perfect for me with no issues and there is the choice to purchase faster packages.
The food was always on time and very tasty, there is an abundance of choice from various international menus so I never got bored of the food. There is also the choice to order food, groceries or supplies from outside using apps like Foodpanda, Grab Food etc.
All of the staff were so welcoming and helpful, they simply couldn't do enough for me. There was a welcome gift and hamper for me in the room when I checked in which was very nice. I would like to give special thanks Watana (Tandy) the Guest Services Manager who I dealt with from booking till I checked and he personally come and greeted me to see how I was and that my stay was up to expectations...he is a true gentleman and really appreciated his help and support.
The location is perfect in my oppinion, located next to Central Rama 9 shopping centre and a stone throw to the many great markets in the area. It is very close both to the MRT and Airport link stations and with easy access to anywhere you need to get to in Bangkok. This will be my go to hotel/serviced appartment from now on in Bangkok.

My wife and I have recently completed our 15 day quarantine at the Somerset Rama 9 aparthotel. Our stay was perfect. We had booked a two bedroom apartment which was very spacious and well kitted out. It had a kitchen area with seating, lounge area, very good sized bedrooms and several bathrooms.
As well as a carefully planned healthy daily menus covering International, Asian and vegetarian options we were able to select dishes from a varied and interesting Thai menu. This was a life saver which helped us cope with the quarantine restrictions.
There was also an in-room dining menu for those days when you wanted extras such as some good dessert choices.
The hotel also provided items you could purchase from a shopping list covering both essentials and treats delivered to your door.
We were delighted we chose Somerset Rama 9 as our quarantine hotel. Staff and management were a delight. Our stay from collection at the airport to our arranged departure was extremely well organised. I highly recommend this hotel.

Having to spend 15 nights and 16 days at a hotel with two children in a corona situation is a huge challenge. I had to quarantine to live in Thailand and stayed alone in a hotel with two children without a husband. The children didn't want to go out during their stay in a clean and friendly hotel and it was good enough to choose their favorite menu. It was a very special experience to stay at a hotel for such a long time. It could have been a boring period, but the children were satisfied with their hotel life and had a washing machine, a toaster, an electric rice cooker, and a sink to wash the dishes, so we could stay comfortable like our homes. I contacted the hotel staff through the line and asked for help, but they always handled it quickly and got along well without any inconvenience. It is a hotel that can be very satisfied with the quarantine life with children. From airport pick-up to last check-out you will be able to smile. I sincerely thank all the hotel workers who helped me get along with my children at the hotel.

I am going to finish my quarantine tomorrow. Throughout my stay, I have been impressed with the exceptional service and facilities, which I will elaborate as follows:
Room wise: the room is big, well equipped with facilities that will make your stay a pleasant one, there are household items, i.e. irons and plates, microwave and kettle. The TV is large. The room has big window and nice view of BKK city, thus make your quarantine feel less stuffy and more relax.
Staff: Staff are so kind and caring. They had gone beyond their job in taking care of you. They always inquire about your health and how you are feeling. They are very responsive with questions and request. The reservation is very flexible and helpful. I am thankful for their service that makes my stay like home away from home.
Food: Amazing selection! There are numerous choices, i.e. Japanese, Korean, Thai, healthy diet, International and Kid menu. The amount of food is so sufficient that you do not feel like ordering. But if you wish to order, the location of the hotel make order and delivery a very easy and fast one. And the hotel helps facilitate the ordering by paying for you and have the food delivered for you in no time.
Exercise: For those who wish to be fit, the hotel offers exercise class at no course, and I have been joining most of the sessions, starting from yoga in the morning, weight training or ABS in the afternoon, and the zumba class in the evening. The exercise class is not just a video from youtube, but a real trainer. It feels like you have your own private trainer, and that feels so luxurious. Trainers are highly trained and have knowledge about exercise, they provided information about your posture, empathize on the parts of the body you need to work out; and respond to your need. For those who like gym and exercise, this hotel is the best choice for your quarantine to keep you fit. As for me, I feel fitter and more firm getting out the quarantine than when I arrived.

This hotel is newly built so it is very clean and does not smell musky like some other places do. The rooms are a comfortable size. The bed is big with nice pillows. The bed is a bit more firm then I usually like but I still had good sleeps on it. The staff were helpful. The biggest downfall of the hotel for me was the pool. It’s a good size and has about 14 loungers around it but it only gets sun for about an hour a day, so it’s cold and you can’t suntan around it. I’m a sun lover so that was disappointing. There was also no balcony or bathtub. The shower was nice and spacious. The hot water worked well but you must start with it turned halfway hot for it to warm up. The breakfast was really good. Egg station, fruit, juice, pastries, bacon some days, a soup option and other Thai food options. We ate dinner in the restaurant on our last night and it was quite expensive for a small meal. The food was good but they charged us for water even. If I knew I would be charged for water I would have said no as I got a $6 (CAD)glass of juice. There are many better places to eat if you want to pay the same price or less. Downtown Bangkok is very busy and the cab drivers often try to overcharge you by not running their meter. From the hotel you can get a meter taxi but outside the hotel it is much harder to find decent cab drivers not wanting to take advantage. There is the MRT (underground train) that is a 5-10 min walk away from the hotel that only costs 40-80 Baht to get to many places. From the Rama 9 station two stops up is a great area for restaurants and shopping. There is two malls next to the hotel. The one over the overpass has several massage options for 190-500 baht. We went everyday. It’s on the lower level. The night market by the hotel Jodd Fair is also worth visiting. I would definitely go back to this hotel if I didn’t love some time around the pool in the sun as much as I do.

An easy 5 star rating!!! Customer service was on point. They continued to provide what I needed every time without hesitation. They seemed to understand what the guests need or want. I loved every minute of my stay there. The staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful from the moment I arrived until its time to say goodbye. They even carried my bags to the car and closed the door for me. Talking about passion, commitment and dedication to what they do. Management should be very proud and lucky to have them as part of their Somerset family .
The room was really big and beautiful. Clean with its fully furnished modern decor. They even have a 2 in 1 washer and dryer machine, very convenient. The menu have a good variety of different meals that pretty much cater to everyone.
Their commitment to customer satisfaction was beyond excellent. I have requested a treadmill and some orders from the economy and Wanita made it possible without a delay, she delivered within minutes; ridiculously crazy!!! Yes she is more than amazing. She definitely made my 14 day stay feels like home rather than a quarantine. Nina was awesome as well. They both checked up on me all the time to make sure I am ok and if I needed anything. Truly appreciate the hand crafted cards, special servings of drinks and sweets to celebrate the 3 milestone (3 negative test results) of my 14 day stay.
The covid tests were coordinated and organized very well. All 3 results were negative but the operation executed by the staff was handled professionally and safely given the current situation with an alarming spread of the pandemic in Thailand.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. You will receive a top notch service from the staff the entire time you will be staying there. Thank you all for the great experience and hospitality.
