Great value, especially for the location which is walking distance to the BTS. The hotel room was very nice to come back to after a long day. The decor is beautiful. The staff was efficient. All in all, I would go back again!

this is 4th time that my wife and i have stayed at the amber boutique hotel silom. this is a smaller hotel with approx. 50 rooms, on a side street off of silom road. we like the location since its right in the heart of silom. located in-between pullman and narai/triple 2 hotels. state tower is a 10 minute walk. many many good restaurants. several malls/plazas. mbk is pretty far to walk, 2 miles(?). since off the main road, very quiet. the basic room has a king bed, refrigerator, kettle, 32" tv. separate area with sink, toilet and walk-in shower. this hotel is extremely clean. wifi worked well. many tv channels. breakfast area is an open atrium, very zen. breakfast is average. most of the days, ham, eggs, sausage, pasta. also cereal, yogurt, fruit, bread, danish, good good coffee. we have never paid extra for breakfast. at $45/night before taxes, we feel the amber boutique hotel silom is a GOOD DEAL. staff always helpful, professional. smoking area in front of hotel. ***please note*** no pool, so this could be dealbreaker for travelers with children. will continue to stay here in the future.

We selected the Amber Boutique hotel following reviews on Tripadvisor and were not disappointed. We stayed for 3 nights incl breakfast. The hotel is in an alley on Silom Road, invest a bit into how roads & alleys work in busy Bangkok and then you'll know how to find it. You can take the BTS & metro from the airport - then it is another 10 min walk. Or you take a tuktuk from the final BTS station. The hotel is a wonder as soon as you enter, clean, cool, modern and serviced to your every need. The reception was extremely friendly, our room could be accessed earlier than planned and we were very happy with this after long travels. Well equipped room, spacious, clean and with good A/C. As it is in an alley (no passing-through transportation), it was a delight to escape from the busy Bangkok sounds and sleep easily. Hotel can also book trips for you and we booked a half day floating market via them. Other days we walked to the river water taxi 10-15 min easy walk) to travel upwards and visit Wat Arun. Luggage can be stored as-is needed. Breakfast is international from 6-10. Recommend this hotel, which is a good stay in hectic Bangkok and still close enough to visit attractions. This was not our first visit to Bangkok and I'm glad we found this place to stay.

Spot carefully the Soi 14 Street sign which leads you to Amber Boutique Hotel. A good and cheap option between Pullman and Narai Hotel. It's a short walk to Saladeng BTS Station or Lumbini Park. The staff was very friendly, clean and spacious rooms and WIFI worked fast. The breakfast is very basic so you can skip it and walk to Sathorn Soi 12 The Rocket Coffeebar. Payment has to be done in advance what was a bit unusual but our stay was pleasant and staff was very friendly to organize a taxi to go to the airport. Amber Boutique is definitely a good choice in case you look for something reasonable and clean within Silom Area.

The hotel is in an accessible location. It is not far from public places but private and quiet. There are many interesting places near by e.g. shopping area (mall, flea market), restaurants, and night clubs. Also, convenient stores and massage spa. You can walk to BTS skytrain and MRT metro. Still, you can also find the taxi or use Grab (similar to Uber) to book for the transport. The hotel itself also provides the services for the rental car or the 1-day trip to other cities. There are elevator, laundry and room service. Moreover, the atmosphere in the hotel was set green with nature (trees, waterfall, bird sounds) which made you feel relaxing. The room is spacious and decorative. My boyfriend and I booked the hotel for 2 nights and we asked for making up the room in the next day. Before, we went out, we met the housekeepers, they were really humble and smiley. Unfortunately, when we got back to the room in the evening, the cleaning was really unsatisfied. The room was managed but not clean. I would definitely say: - they didn't change set of the bed sheet, duvet and pillow covers. (They just make it up but not in a nice way.) - they didn't replenish the toiletries. - the toilet paper was not folded in triangle-shape (somehow, I expect at least to see this) - the full body mirror in front of the washroom was still dirty with fingerprint. - the sink was wet. The housekeepers were nice but they didn't do their job properly. By the way, the staff was approachable and we were comfortable during our stay. I would still recommend this place for your good alternative hotel in Bangkok but if you plan to stay more than 1 night. I probably highlight the issue mentioned above.
