We started a 4 month trip of Asia by staying here. It was a great way to ease into the Backpacking plans we had. The hotel is situated on Khao San Road where a lot venture in Bangkok. The street is pretty noisy at night, especially where the hotel is. Thankfully though you couldn't here a thing from the hotel....

Great hotel - nice rooftop and clean rooms - perfect if you want to stay in the centre. The only downside: it's noisy!! So call in advance and request a room in the backyard - of you get one of these then you will have a great stay 👍

This place was pretty good value for money. It's on one of the biggest party streets in Bangkok which is why we picked it, the location was awesome. Pool up top was not too bad either. The rooms were very small though, no space to spread out at all.

We were recommended Khaosan Palace by a flight attendant friend of ours that had stayed there on a few previous occasions. We stayed there our first night after arriving in Bangkok before flying out to Ko Samui the next morning. The location is about 25-30 ride from the airport, so be sure to plan your timely transports in advance to...

We had really good , clean and big room. This is hotel is located in the heart of the Khao San Road. There are a lot of backpackers around the hotel and it's sometimes loud, but still you have inside the hotel a quite area. The pool is good in the morning when the water is cool, after 2 pm...

First 2 nights in Thailand and a perfect place to start. Rooms was adequate, comfortable and clean. The roof terrace/pool was clean and staff were friendly. Location was great if you want to experience the madness of Khao San road for a night. From our room we couldn't hear the music or noise of Khao San road. A great place...

I have stayed in many hotels but the service here is beyond the worst I have received. From the start, we checked in gave a deposit and the lady on the desk gave us the wrong receipt for a deposit that stated that we had already received our deposit back. After arguing for a few moments the receptionist she screwed...

Firstly on arrival, you had to pay 1000bht deposit and I accidentally wrote in the wrong box to say I received it back so upon asking for a new one she was very rude and was refusing trying to take my passport away until I asked to be dealt with by someone else. So the room is okay, although it's...

We stayed 1 night on 1st floor room facing out the front, could not sleep, sounded like the loud music was in our room. Reception staff are not friendly and said I had to pay for the drinks I had, well I had none. Pool was nice.We moved to a back room on the 6 floor, very quite, didn't hear...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
