We stayed 1 night on 1st floor room facing out the front, could not sleep, sounded like the loud music was in our room. Reception staff are not friendly and said I had to pay for the drinks I had, well I had none. Pool was nice.We moved to a back room on the 6 floor, very quite, didn't hear...

This hotel is clean enough and average . The staff are not very friendly . Had room on front of hotel facing the street and checked out at 1am when I realised that even with ear plugs the music from the street is in your room . This is a party hotel which is fine for those who want to...

My boyfriend and I stayed one night at Khaosan Palace. It was a decent room. Small but did the trick. You can't get dropped off at in front of the hotel as cars cannot go down the road. So you do have to walk down the street with your bags. Ladies at the front weren't really the nicest or great...

The hotel is affordable but staff speak poorly English and not welcoming. Quite noisy if you are not in the mood to party . Nice rooftop pool. I would not recommend to order the pad Thai but the burger was very nice .

Stayed here on our first night in Bangkok.. it's a great location for party heads.. we stayed in the violet towers which is right at the front of Khao San road.. rooms are clean but noisy when the bars open at night.. so if you're wanting sleep I'd suggest asking for the rooms at the back which are more quiet...

The hotel was nice and clean so really what more can you ask for ? There's a safe in the room which was great. You hear the music at night from the bars across the street, so if you're looking for a quiet night this place may not be for you.

The rooms were very clean and the lobby was helpful. It is in the perfect location in you want to be on Ko San Road. It is loud at night. Overall it was a great place to stay and I would recommend it if you want to be close to the party but still stay in a nice room.

It's not the. Hotels fault but the band noise was horrific outside the window till 2 am..thrash music or punk. No melody just someone smashing drums at full volume...maybe the hotels should take note and get together and complain as the noise level is not needed and will drive customers away...I won't stay again although the hotel staff and pool...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
