We stayed 3 nights and had such a nice time. Is a beautiful and cozy wooden house, close to everything but in a quiet backstreet. The receptionist and the owner were lovely and very helpful. I totally recommend this place.

A great place in BKK if you are on a medium/higher budget. Bann Noppawong is a beautiful, peaceful place, an old traditional (!) Thai house with gorgeous rooms, great interior (I just loved the wooden floors and walls) and a really nice garden where you can enjoy a great breakfast. You can really feel that the owner (a very nice...

Ban Noppawong is a beautiful sanctuary amidst the loud hustle and bustle of the busy city. The staff is kind and accommodating. The hotel has a relaxing vibe and cool ambience. What more can you ask for? We would definitely stay here again!

There a many things that we loved about this place. First, the staff are all incredibly helpful and kind. One woman woke up in the middle of the night to answer the phone when we were waiting for my girlfriends luggage to be dropped off from the airport. They always greeted us with a smile. This is the perfect place...

This must be the most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed at. They have 7 rooms in an amazing colonial wooden house. The hotel is located about 500m from Kao-San road which feels unreal when you walk through the hotel's gates. There's also just a few minutes walk to several historical attractions. It really feels like you've arrived to a different...

We are really like the retro style yet comtemporary design furnishings here. It is beyond our expectation. A pond of lively carps, gentle wind, bird calling made us felt comfortable. Further, the room is well cleaned.

Brilliant location (Khaosan road is a 5 minute walk which is so close yet the hotel is very quiet day and night) and lovely friendly staff. The room was gorgeous with very good air conditioning and facilities and a beautiful, peaceful setting, with a beautiful garden for breakfast and a pretty koi carp water feature right under our window. So...

Amazing location and brilliant staff. A little gem very close to Khaosan Road. Rooms are well presented and clean. Plus a hairdryer is a bonus!! 2 minutes from Khaosan Road so you're in the mix but without the noise. Lovely stay and I would definitely return.

A very small boutique hotel. Charming, great breakfast, lovely room and surprising + loveable "towel" animals. Very good location! The best: the manager Buppha and her assistant Nan! So helpful and generous! It would have been difficult without them!

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.

Baan Noppawong is the finest small hotel located on Ratchadamnoen Klang Road, in the middle of Bangkok historical district. In the past, it was a two-story wooden house exquisitely built in the 19th century, during the reign of King Prajadhipok (Rama VII), for M.L. Ditsaphong Noppawong and Mrs. Salee Noppawong Na Ayudhaya. Nowadays the dilapidated house has been renovated by preserving its original characteristic and gorgeous elements. ... more   less
