Good Hotel. A bit overpriced due to its prime location though. You can get similar hotels with lower price elsewhere especially if you are not too particular about your location. (Bangkok is blessed with a great public transportation system. So I would not mind staying in a not-so-central location.)

The Skyy hotel was a very relaxing place with a very helpful staff! Checking in was a breeze with no problems! After my long flight from Boston it was refreshing just to unpack in a nice clean air conditioned room! The location was in walking distance to the Main Street, but you could always find transportation!

I was meeting some friends here but arrived 2 nights prior to our booking and they only had a higher class of room available. They were kind enough to upgrade me to stay in that same room on both legs. Modern clean bedrooms excellent AC, comfy beds and black out curtains with a very high level of service. Excellent hotel...

OK value for money. No hot water in the shower and the room didn't smell to great. Staff were not particularly helpful. Wifi wouldn't connect. Good points was that it was close to hospital and sky train

We put in our reservation to check in early as we had travelled on overnight sleeper from Koh Phangan and would be arriving at hotel much earlier than normal check in time. When we got there the reception team could not be MORE unhelpful. Said our room WAS ready but we weren't allowed it unless we paid 600 THB. We...

Like the person from the previous review, I booked for an executive room and was given a tiny room that did not match the photos on the site. It was also infested with flies. I complained to the staff - who kept trying to tell me that I was in the right room and kept telling me that both myself...

We selected Skyy because I had a appointmtent at Bumrungrad hospital. We booked and paid for a Executive room. The night reception put us in a Deluxe room, which was smaller. I showed I paid for the larger room. The receptionist then acted as if she forgot how to speak English and started speaking Thai. When she realize my Chinese...

This was a one night stay as I was meeting up with friends for a night out after arriving in Thailand before heading up to Chiang Mai . We had stayed here before for a similar reason about 18 months previously. One of the good things about the hotel is that it has a check in time of 12pm rather...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
