I would like to suggest travelers or people looking for an apartment for long stay, to stay well clear from Ekamai Prestige. Why? Simply because they charge you for services and facilities that you cannot use: as I stated in other comments, the swimming pool is never in service and the pool area has no shadow; The gym is really... Some time ago Ekamai Prestige was a nice place to stay, well kept, quiet and relaxing. Now maintenance and cleaning is at a very low level: - the swimming pool is out of service since couple of months now, and maybe it's better since water was murky at best, before. - room and stairs/common area cleaning sucks. dust is not... Probably in the past Ekkamai Prestige was a good place to relax and stay. Now, it is decaying and the management does not act sufficiently to restore its facilities. As an example, - the rooftop pool is always dirty and the water is soupy and green, more like a pond...cause there is no water recirculation! The plastic lawn is wornout... More

My boyfriend and I have been staying at Prestige for 4 months and find it really convenient. He works in Ekkamai and this was the prime reason. We love the modern and contemporary feel to the apartments. The neighbourhood is quiet and green, surrounded by residential private housing. Although small, the design is such as to create separate rooms for... More

I booked this hotel last minute not realizing how far it was from the BTS. After exiting the Ekkamai stop it was probably a 2 or 3 mile walk from the stop down a stretch of back alleys at night with barking dogs. There is a tuk tuk service that will take you from the BTS but it doesn't run... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
