We are currently staying here and paying 780 baht for a terrace room. The room is big, clean and lovely. We have a TV (not that we've actually turned it on), a sizeable fridge, a dressing table with mirror, wardrobe, hairdryer and (obviously) a bathroom. Aircon works great. The terrace rooms are four floors up and they open onto the...

Inexpensive Hostel. 600/baht per night, not bad. There's plenty of things to do and to party at within walking distance. It's not the greatest hotel but for what you are paying for, it is not bad. I recommend it if you're looking for something inexpensive. The people who work there are really nice too. Good service.

A great wee place, very expensive for what it is but everything in Bangkok is expensive!! Rooms are very small but well presented and clean and felt nice and homey. Would stay here again and recommend to others. Good location away from all the noise but still very close!

Nice and clean small hotel close to Khao San Road. Room clean and well maintained. Stayed there 3 nights after Koh Samui. Front desk can help arrange mini bus to airport (130 Baht/person). Hotel location is very good if you like to visit Khao San Road, and the riverside and several temples nearby. A pleasant stay overall.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
