JW BKK is a older, yet classic hotel. Well designed and smells amazing. Check in was a breeze at the executive lounge. The Club Lounge was amazing. Very well designed open and large. Great in or outdoor dinning. The food and staff were top notch. Gym was more like a fitness club. The best I've ever used. Had dumbbells up...

I arrived late after a very long two day flight and from the minute I walked in, it was just amazing! The staff is friendly, warm, and eager to please! The room was spotless, air conditioner set ideally, and the bed was so comfortable! I awoke refreshed and headed down to the restaurant for breakfast. This was almost too much...

The service was excellent. The room was large size and perfect for additional person. The location of the hotel is very good and close to the train station if required. Taxi also on short notice available but do not lkie to use meter. They always asked for additional charge. That is not good. The best was the executive personnel. I...

JW Marriott is nice hotel of course but its getting old and I would say needs bringing into the 21st Century. A lot of face but not much soul in the hotel. The staff are great and very helpful especially the exec lounge were guests are treated well. It can get quite busy during the evening but it is quite...

If you ever want great service, then just stay at the JW Marriott in Bangkok. The Executive Lounge service is fantastic. Managers like Anja and Bo, Desk Clerks like Kao and Ice, and Hostesses like Moree, Natty, Nicha and Fong made my great stay as usual. There is never a need they cannot solve.

i stayed here last week (april 2017) for six nights and overall it was fine, but in a city with so many really awesome and great-value 5-star and 4-star hotels, i doubt i'll stay at the JW again. starting with the good: the key highlight, something really notable, is the quality of the staff and their high level of service....

First off, all of the Marriott SPG properties I stayed at in Thailand had superb customer service. Everyone acknowledges you with a smile and greeting and they truly do their best to ensure you enjoy yourself. With that, JW is no different. Top notch hotel. It shows it's age, you can tell it was probably the crème de la crème...

I have stayed at the JW Marriott in Bangkok numerous times per year since 2000. I was actually thinking that I have stayed for close to 300 nights. The hotel is very clean, rooms very tidy and updated but the most important this that really stands out on each stay at this hotel is the staff. They are the friendliest...

I stayed for 9 nights and each was a pleasure. The location of the hotel can't be beat. It's right next to the BTS skytrain on Sukhumvit road. My room on the 15th floor was in good shape and had a very nice city view. The overall condition of the hotel is in need of some updating. What made my...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
