This was another bad choice for us The hotel is dark and dingy in the reception area The pool area was the quality of a 2 star at best Breakfast was poor Room was a bit tatty First visit to a Marriott will be the last Sometimes I wonder what guests compare hotels with after reading good reviews

Dear boltotraveller, Thank you for your taking the time to write a review following your recent stay with us. I very much appreciate your candid feedback. First and foremost, I am disappointed to learn that our hotel facilities did not meet your expectation. We will certainly keep in mind your comment for our next renovation. Our breakfast usually received great...

Loved the breakfast buffet; the hotel service was fantastic; the location near the sky train is really convenient. We would definitely stay here again, although there's no kids club. But overall、 it had everything you'd expect from a jw hotel.

During my recent vacation in Bangkok I spent 2 nights, 5rd - 7th December, in the JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok. The entrance to the Hotel is on Sukhumvit 2 Alley, off Sukhumvit Road, opposite the Starbucks in the Ploenchit Center, and the Hotel is situated in a good central location for visiting the city. You have the BTS Sky Train...

We stayed there for a week, the service was excellent. The shower was not working properly, when we informed them, the technician arrived within minutes and rectified in a jiffy. The rooms were spacious and cozy. Silom shopping area is walkable and plenty of things available, like clothes, bags, accessories, fresh fruits, even fresh vegetables. All the cooking necessities you...

I've been to Bangkok and stayed at over a dozen hotel - both Hiltons, the Conrad, The Intercon, Holiday Inn, Shangri-La and a few more I can't even remember, but the JW Marriott is by far my favorite. The Good > The location is great, steps from the sky train, fast food and fine eateries > The property is spacious...

The hotel is so dull with black interior dim light. The travel service is not of the JW standard. I selected private guide and car for site seeing. The guide was less than average. If I ask a question of historical nature, she will say I will tell you later. But later never happen. Break fast at the lounge is average

Breakfast was awesome, kids loved the pool, location for access to the trains malls etc also great. Had the odd staff who did not quite live up to the service levels expected and our request to have some items frozen not well done. All in all, a good stay, the few blemishes resulting in the 4 and not the 5...

Stayed here for three nights on a business trip, so for this reason I cannot comment on the affordability of the hotel. Distance was about 45mins from the airport and once at the hotel you are quite central in the city. The train is nearby which can take you to the markets or shopping centre. Alternatively there are the street...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
