The staff is attentive, friendly, and professional. We stayed at the Mandarin Oriental only one night, so we didn't have time to experience all that the hotel had to offer, but what we could see and do was amazing. The pool, the food/restaurant and the room was above all expectations. I Highly recommend this hotel, it is an amazing experience...

One cannot find fault here(except possibly the price). The staff are magnificent. The rooms are exquisitely finished, The views must be the best in the city...A 'sundowner on the terrace ' is a must. The choice of restaurant is comprehensive. You will not be disappointed.

It's hard to imagine a better hotel anywhere, and I practically live in hotels. This hotel is subtle perfection, and offers a serene experience along the Chao Phraya River. There are eight restaurants in the hotel with something for everyone, from French Haute cuisine to Thai, to barbecue, a spa to remember, and a completely Thai experience. For all that...

The exceptional service starts at the actual door of your plane! The special Arrive in Style meet & greet service speedily drives you through the airport, fast tracks through Immigration, then collects all your luggage and whisks you outside to your limo that is waiting right outside the main door of the airport! It could not be simpler, and all...

Wow! What a hotel. A beautiful Colonial style building which is extremely luxurious throughout. It has a great setting on the river but what really makes it though are the staff. They are so courteous and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. One to put on the list of places to stay!

I've just returned from 8 nights at this wonderful hotel where standards of service are faultless. The breakfast on the terrace, the fruit bowl, the orchids and other little treats brought to the room each day were wonderful. The standard of housekeeping and the services of the floor butler were so unassuming that it would be possible to lose sight...

The staff knew us by names, which is great since the staff paid attention to every finer details. The room-service executive and the front desk receptionist were great and provided the best guidance. The Hotel lobby is grand with absolutely spectacular interiors. The decors and rooms oozed out class. We opted for the family room since we were four of...

In my view, this Mandarin Oriental delivers the essence of colonial era elegance and charm that one associates with the Mandarin Oriental brand. Although the hotel is fairly old, it is amazingly maintained and all the staff are amazing. The boat across to the spa, restaurant and health club facilities is also an amazing touch. This is why we keep...

Spent a week in luxury (despite the fact I was working) at this hotel and loved it. Excellent staff who can't do enough for you and make you feel truly welcome. The rooms are spacious, luxurious and the attention to detail is exceptional! I was there for a conference and I cannot recommend highly enough the conferencing team who could...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
