This was our 4th stay at The Pen and already planning a return visit. The friendly professionalism of the staff in all departments is second to none. A conversation with a staff member re their Covid experience, I was blown when I learned how well The Pen had cared for their team during shut downs. It’s no wonder it is such a happy and welcoming sanctuary on the Chao Phraya. Buffet breakfast on the river terrace is the perfect start to the day, the pool area is spacious for a city hotel and provides a quiet place to read and relax with very attentive, unobtrusive service. Love the complimentary shuttle boat to IconSiam where you can find a feast in the Souk or many restaurant options on the other levels. Have also stayed across the river at the Shangri-La, a poor experience by comparison, The Pens understated elegance is head and shoulders above.

Hotel's Favourite
At The Peninsula Bangkok, this is my 1st time stay that so impressed for my staycation with my friend. I would said that it is top-notch service hospitality. Urban Oasis Hotel along the Chao Phraya River. When you stay at hotel you will feel a time stop. That was a precious moment when looking over the stunning view of Chao Phraya River and the city. My room is Deluxe Balcony Room that is elegant contemporary style with classic that. So Luxury thai style and comfort. The room is well equipped and well maintained. Functional control panel to control all the light, TV, curtain, Air Con etc. Sumptuous marble bathroom with exclusive bath amenities. The balcony is the perfect spot for scenic panorama along the city and Chao Phraya River. View from the hotel is the perfect spot to capture memorable moments. The best pool with view the river. The staff at pool that is best service-minded and helpful. The hotel provides complimentary shuttle boat services to Tak Sin Bridge BTS and Icon Siam. Breakfast near the river is the best moment to start your day with quality Food.

My husband and I had a great five nights at the Peninsula. This hotel earns its Forbes 5 star rating repeatedly. I was torn between staying at the Shangri La or the Peninsula. We visited the Shangri La on the last night and all I can say is that we made the right choice. The Shang, shiny, overperfumed a bit more like a Marriott: the Peninsula quiet, calm and understated. The hotel has a fleet of boats that efficiently transport you up and down the river for sight seeing or shopping. The spa is large and beautiful. The pool is great. The riverside restaurant is great. What a nice way to begin each morning. We had a great time and will return. Took hotel driver to the airport upon departure. As the driver pulled up to the curb we were greeted by a member of the Peninsula staff that greeted us and took our luggage and brought us to the gate for our check k in. Wow. That was unexpected. But it should not have been. That is why they get 5 stars.

I've been staying at The Peninsula Bangkok for over ten years now. It never misses a beat the service is fantastic, as I say repeatedly. Even if The Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, or Park Hyatt offered me a free stay, I would turn it down. I can only stay at The Peninsula when visiting Bangkok. No other 5-star hotel has the attentive a caringness as The Peninsula Bangkok staff. The breakfast and dinner buffet is out of this world!! Best buffet ever! The only minor thing is that they are doing construction for a new building next to the pool, which is minor. You feel like you are at a resort and in my opinion there is no need to leave the property. Anne is a fantastic concierge She is very smart and has excellent recommendations to do in Bangkok. Alex and Bella in the front office are fantastic as well. The last two times, I opted to get the airport transfer from the hotel, which I recommend for a stress-free experience. The Peninsula airport staff Waldo and I believe Alexare life-savers. Traveling these days is so stressful the airport experience those two made it stress-free and easy. The Peninsula is in a fantastic location to The Iconsiam shopping mall. You can take a boat or walk.

This is a very beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. We booked through American Express platinum and were therefor given an automatic room upgrade along with daily fabulous breakfast buffet and a dinner buffet that was excellent. The room we received was stunning. A very large suite with incredible River views. we were assisted at the front desk by a very nice receptionist named Om. He made sure that all of our concerns were addressed and took excellent care of us.

This was our fourth stay at the Peninsula BKK and once again it was simply wonderful. Checking in we were delighted and astonished to have been upgraded to a deluxe suite….separate bedroom, separate lounge with incredible floor to ceiling views over the river and Bangkok. Fresh fruit, sweet treats and fully stocked bar await you. Bathrooms as always simply beautiful and luxurious. The breakfast buffet is outstanding and offer world cuisine, and you dine ne t to the hustle and bustle of the river…..wonderful. The staff from checking in, housekeeping, bell boys, breakfast/restaurant/bar staff as well as the pool side waiters to the river boat staff were extremely friendly and professional whilst remaining personable. We simply love coming back to this glorious hotel and look forward to another return end ne t year…..hopefully for our honeymoon

Each time, it is a pleasure and a magnificient experience to stay at the Peninsula, although the inside got old-ish, in style. Wonderful breakfast, pool environment, Amazing views on the city and the river And great facilities ( and a nice shower at the spa, beforea late flight ) Service not super efficient at breakfast and check-in

We live in the Northeast of Thailand and always stay at the Peninsula when we visit or transit through BKK. Again, Peninsula never disappoints us. After Covid-19, hotels have had many challenges with staffing and although some familiar faces were missing on this visit, staff is always professional, competent, and very accommodating. Breakfast buffet is spectacular with many choices of high quality food to satisfy most tastes. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and become destinations themselves after venturing out to the hustle and bustle that is Bangkok. Although the luxurious Bar, Thai, and Chinese restaurants remain closed, all other facilities were fully functional and lavish. Yes, The Peninsula is an older property however the standards for staff, service, and physical plant maintenance of this gem remain at the highest level. I've said it many times throughout the years, you won't have any regrets staying here and you'll be sorry that you waited to discover this spectacular place in The Land Of Smiles or that you didn't book more nights.

We stayed at the Peninsula for the first leg of our multi stop Anniversary trip - from arrival to departure they made us feel so welcomed and celebrated! The staff is all outgoing, friendly and accommodating. Our room was upgraded and prepared with a special Anniversary treat! Location was wonderful on river for dining views. We had breakfast, drinks, tea service and dinner all which exceeded expectations. Look no further, book your stay here!

We thought this hotel was excellent, on arrival they were waiting for us, greeted us by name and took us straight to our room to relax which after a long flight was perfect. We stayed in a Deluxe Suite which had plenty of space and great views of the river. We ate in the hotel twice for dinner (at the river cafe buffet and Thiptara) and had breakfast and lunchtime snacks , the food and service were consistently very good. We also enjoyed the pool in the afternoon heat with poolside cabanas providing great shade , service from the staff poolside was also very good. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for a great stay.
