A beautifully decorated and appointed hotel with top-notch staff. Breakfast is amazing. The pool is gorgeous, never crowded, and the pool bar serves lovely meals. I've stayed at Sukhothai a couple of times and it has rapidly become my favorite hotel.

This is a lovely hotel in more of the heavy-wood, traditional style. I found it a bit labyrinthine and dim, but perhaps that's because I was there for work and had different preferences. The room itself was comfortable and well-supplied. The bed and pillows were excellent. The lighting was quite dim, though. It was not possible to have a bright...

I stayed 3 nights in deluxe suite. The room was very spacious, tastefully decorated. It has a separatable bedroom, a huge bathroom and a living room suitable for hosting a business meeting for up to 4-5 people. The hotel is very quiet, it has a classy old-school charm, which gets better with ageing. The staff was competent, polite and efficient....

This definitely a five star hotel. Nice rooms and suites. Very good service. The whole hotel is Sukhothai "style" - teak, water, statues. A particular feature is the lotus pool which is tranquil and very attractive. An oasis is busy Bangkok.

Me and my wife had an unforgettable stay at Sukhothai Hotel Bangkok. This memorable stay has been made possible through our lovely concierge Kook. She was able to recognize all our needs and wishes. Her hospitable behavior and her friendliness made us feel really comfortable and enabled an awesome stay! When we will visit Bangkok again, we will definitely stay...

I stayed at this hotel when I used to work in the Far East and from all the places I stayed there was only 2 stand out ones .... and this was one. I promised myself I would one day return and have, and not disappointed. Although in need of modernisation after 25 years, it still has the WOW factor...

The Beverly Hills Hotel of Bangkok is how I describe the Sukhothai to friends. In a city of 8,000,000 people The Sukhothai is the only hotel I know of there that sits on about 10 acres in the middle of the city. From the minute you pull up the driveway you get a sense of the park like grounds. Whenever...

It's a well known 5-Star hotel in Bangkok for decades. The room was spacious facing the lotus pond. Unfriendly feeling from the Front Office / Concierge staff. Unpleasant experience to raise the issue of bad Wi-Fi signal. The wi-fi reception was not good inside the room. Repeater was requested and set for better signal. Honeymoon cake was a surprise. Breakfast...

A few years ago, I wrote a review describing the Sukhothai hotel as one of my favorite hotel in the world. I was there last week and this is still the case. The Sukhothai is a real Palace, in a french way, which means that the service is exceptional. The Sukhothai experience is worth it, and is only possible thanks...

Our suite was very large with great amenities and view of the pond. Overall, our stay was very comfortable and we enjoyed the quiet room. However, prices at the restaurant, poolside, and bar were outrageously expensive. One complaint is that the dishes in the room (plate and silverware) were not replaced with clean ones. It seemed that they just leave...

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
