Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.

I booked the Banyan Tree through a third-party service. From arrival the ambience and service have been fantastic. The staff in the Club Lounge are the friendliest of quite a few of the hotels that I stay at in Asia. Every facet of the property lives up to expectation. Mr. Wat

Hi Daytrip559418, In our experience every outlet had a camera to capture your special moment. There was a professional photographer at Vertigo who took a photo of us and almost instantly printed it after placing it in a lovely Banyan Tree booklet frame. Other restaurants like Saffron & Romsai did the same, we requested the team to email our photos to us and they kindly did; the hotel goes above and beyond, we felt no request was too big for Banyan Tree! Enjoy your trip! Best regards, Nuvani London

The taxis in BKK are inexpensive and relaible - the Grand Palace is 15-20 minutes depending upon traffic. If you stay at the Banyan Tree, there is a staff member whose job is to call a taxi for guests and to instruct the driver of the destination. But MAKE SURE that the driver acivates the meter - the charge is 35 Baht to begin the journey, and charge by time/distance thereafter. Do NOT get into a taxi which does not have a meter.

Do you have an airport shuttle service?
Yes I did have a shuttle, however I was traveling with a group and the shuttle was arranged by the group manager. I believe this service was provided by the hotel as well.
