This hotel truly exemplifies the true meaning of 5* quality and service. From the check-in on the club level to the huge 2 bedroom apartment and with multiple choices of pillows, to the steam showers and breakfast boxes kept ready for us at 6 am.checkout, this was a truly glorious experience. There was a separate floor (level 19, same as...

My wife and I had just the one night at Banyan Tree after flying in and before flying out to Koh Samui. It's the perfect hotel for this sort of stay- relaxed, good value and in a reasonable location. Our room was enormous with a living room in addition to the bedroom and bathroom, fruit platter and some Thai incense...

After over 15 years in the hotel industry, I've seen hundreds all over the world. This property is one of the best I've ever seen. The staff is incredibly gracious and helpful. The food is fantastic, especially the fresh fruit, the Thai restaurant, and of course Vertigo on the rooftop, which has an unforgettable sparkling view of Bangkok. The rooms...

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel last November and we cannot say enough good things about this hotel! Based on the room tips on TripAdvisor we booked the one bedroom club level suite and we were thoroughly impressed. Stayed one night, hotel is excellent in every respect. Rooftop bar is great (does have a dress code) and gives a fantastic view over Bangkok. The rooms are a good size (for a club room) and the bed is very, very comfortable. Breakfast was good, coffee not so much but that is to be expected in Asia. Staff were very...

This hotel for me was amazing, the staff could not do enough for you. The rooms were large and cleaned daily including a turn down service and new incense everyday. Although I had previously booked and mentioned we were on honeymoon and fully expected something to be laid on as had been in other hotels but nothing extra or different,...

We stayed for 5 nights at the end of our one month honeymoon trip to Thailand, part of the reason we chose Thailand for our honeymoon was that we heard this hotel was amazing so we were really looking forward to spending the last week of our trip three before flying home to London. Sadly, we were so hugely disappointed....

This hotel is incredible. We are so glad that we pre-booked our stay here as it was a PERFECT way to end our three weeks in Thailand. Mostly we stayed in budget to mid-range accommodation during our travels but the Banyan Tree was pure luxury - peaceful, welcoming and comfortable with incredible customer service. We would stay here again in...

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
