The Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit is renowned for its exemplary service, with staff offering attentive and friendly assistance, although a few guests have encountered language difficulties. Nestled in a sophisticated setting with live jazz and elegant decor, the hotel ensures spotless cleanliness and provides luxurious amenities such as a lavish pool and a fully-equipped gym.
While the value for money receives mixed reviews, many travelers appreciate the hotel's prime location with easy access to Bangkok's highlights. The rooms are spacious and offer city views, though some suggest they could benefit from modernization.

Detailed Reviews
I visited Bangkok in November for official purposes. I tagged my wife along as the trip was close to a fortnight. We got our rooms booked through Antilog Vacations at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, A Luxury Collection Hotel. As we were travelling to Bangkok for the first time, I checked out some details about the resort before travelling and was happy with what I saw.
The resort had arranged for a pick up from the airport. The first aspect about the resort which caught our attention was its location in the heart of Sukhumvit road and close proximity to almost everything like malls, sky train, underground etc. The receptionist was friendly and we soon were on our way to our reserved rooms.
The room was quiet spacious, close to 50 sq mt in area with really nice, big bathrooms. Our room was in one of the higher floors and subsequently we got a great clear view devoid of any obstructions. Thus I would suggest any fellow travelers to go for a higher floored room because of aesthetic superlatives.
The breakfast buffet features pretty much everything under the sun. The lunch and dinner menu were also not far behind adeptly combining authentic Thai cuisine with other culinary delicacies from around the globe. Other recreational facilities like the gym, spa, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room are also available.
Moreover the outdoor pool area is both picturesque and serene, you really area separated from the commotion and chaos of Bangkok and that too despite being so close to the centre of the city. The room service as expected from such a highly rated resort was appreciable and thus we ended up having a splendid 14 days at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit. So, overall though slightly expensive but the facilities and ambience makes it definitely worth the money.

The Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit in Bangkok is certainly one of the better hotels in Bangkok with a great location. It is just across the road from the Westin Grande, Terminal 21 and Robinsons, all of which can accessed from the hotel through a walkway.
Most good hotels in Bangkok have this system of making check in easy and then escorting guests to the room and explaining the room features. Makes one feel welcome. Our 17th floor room was lovely, opulently furnished and had a great view.
Service throughout our 3 day stay was outstanding, friendly and helpful. I was particularly impressed by the promptness in room cleaning done with great attention to our convenience. The turn down service in the evening, with replenishment of everything we had used during the day, was specially pleasant. The welcome fruit basket was also replenished as necessary.
Check out was as pleasant and seamless as check in. The hotel made excellent arrangements for our transportation to the airport.

This hotel is conveniently situated close to an underground and Skytrain station and is an oasis of calm in the city.
The biggest attribute of the hotel is the service offered by the staff from breakfast in Rossini’s to evening drinks and snacks in Bar Su and The Living Room where an entertaining Jazz band played, they were all friendly and couldn’t do enough for you.
We also ate in The Living Room in the evening too and the food was of good quality.
All the staff were good from the Housekeeping, Concierge and even the Hotel Manager went out of his way to source some decaf tea for my wife who mentioned it one morning at breakfast.
Thank you for a fantastic 5 nights in Bangkok.

Check in was smooth, Marriott status was recognized, but no upgrades available due to high occupancy. Location is very good on Sukhumvit, connected by a bridge to Asok BTS and Terminal 21. Right outside there is a 7-11 along Sukhumvit. Due to the location, there are plenty of food options available, especially since it is connected to the mall. Public transportation access is easy as well, since the hotel connects directly into Asok BTS and there is a MRT station there too.
The standard rooms at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit are very large compared to standard rooms at other Marriott properties. The bathroom has a soaking tub as well as a separate standing shower. Desk and working space was excellent, with a good amount of plugs available around the room. The bed was comfortable and even with a view facing Terminal 21 and the BTS, noise was not an issue. The room came with butler service, which was useful for having some laundry done during my stay. Definitely a useful benefit.
The hotel has a certain charm to the interior, in the rooms and extending to the common areas. I visited the lounge area one evening and it was very pleasant with high quality food on offer. Breakfast was in the Orchid Cafe - on the weekends it was mentioned that elites had the option of Rossini's. My stay was short and I only visited the Orchid Cafe, which was fine. I would say the JW Marriott has a better breakfast offering but everything offered at the Orchid Cafe was good.
It's hard to beat the location and proximity to the BTS/MRT and Terminal 21 - no other Marriott property is as convenient in that regard. The standard rooms are excellent. I can see why many Marriott loyalists recommend this property and after staying there myself, I do too.

If you want the best stay in the centre of bangkok, where you will have great services, great food, meet great staff in the greatly decorated rooms at the great location, undoubtedly choose Sheraton Grand Sukhumvit, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok.
This review reflects on my two previous stays, one was during last Christmas, which was my Birthday, and another one was in April this year. I have never been disappointed by this hotel. The stays were marvelous.
Last Chirstmas, my husband and I stayed in a Luxury Suit Room and Presidential Suit room in April. One would think the Presidential Suit room must be normally luxurious and glamorous. Definitely, it is, but more than that, the one here just completed our nice stay and made it much more remarkable and wonderful with the room size of 117 sqm, on the top floor, 33th floor, overlooking a beautiful lake. Bathtub and shower are separated with one fitted whirlpool master bath. Lights and curtains are controllable by one touch. Butlers is on call 24 hrs. for anything including in-room soft drinks, delicious home-made cookies, or even making ‘Bubble Bath’.
The entire hotel was very clean and neat. Everyone was following Covid protocols, especially at restaurants. We rated its buffet breakfast at Orchid Café as one of the best breakfast restaurants among Marriott Bonvoy’s hotels in Bangkok, mainly because of the variety and the quality of food offered. Of course, its taste was also superb.
Actually, returning to stay here seemed like coming back to see friends. Richard, Thawatchai, Veera, Nheng, P’Ann Butler were among staff, who always went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. Staff at Orchid Café during Breakfast including P’Lin, Mhai and Supachai were awesome. Moreover, the reservation team, Bussakorn, Araya, Nong and Tom were professional and prompt to make your bookings pleased and perfect.
While we believe that most staff here were great, some staff at the Living Room made us feel the difference between staff who worked with their service minds and with what as stated as their duty!
Anyway, our overall positive impression of this hotel is so strong that we do not bother with a minor unhappy thing.
The hotel is highly recommended.

I highly recommend this hotel as it ticks all the boxes (customer service, comfort, food, amenities, location, etc). The price might be a little bit higher compared to other hotels but you are treated as a VIP guest. The hotel has two restaurants inside where you can experience authentic Thai cuisine or Italian. Food is excellent. I loved the bar area on the 1st floor: it has a great atmosphere and they have a great selection of drinks.

The Sheraton Grande is conveniently located in the Asoke area of downtown Bangkok, close to the BTS skytrain Asoke station and also the MRT underground Sukhumvit station. The above ground walkway takes you right into the hotel. They had just reopened from the covid19 closure when we stayed there and the condition of the hotel was immaculate. The room was spacious and wonderfully designed and decorated with luxury furnishings like marble, silk, hard wood cabinets and floors and comfortable bedding and chairs. There is a desk and soft easy chair with end table and lamp, great for TV watching or just gazing out the window. The bedding and pillows are covered in cool refreshing cotton, very comfortable. There is a sizeable bathroom, although the sink area could have been larger and a walk in shower. There is a walk in closet area and ample space for clothes and luggage. Bathroom is full of amenities and the housekeeping is superb and done in a timely manner. All the staff we came in contact with were helpful, friendly and accommodating. The hotel has a number of restaurants: Orchid Cafe, all day buffet dining, Italian and Thai restaurants besides pool side and a numbert of bars. There is a fitness center, jacuzzi, swimming and a full spa. The common areas are spacious and offer a luxurious atmosphere. It is wheelchair accessible. I would recommend the Sheraton Grande for its location, beautiful and comfortable surroundings, great staff, rooms, dining and amenities.

Stayed at the SGS for one night as a Bonvoy Plat while on vacation. We booked a STARS rate and applied an SNA. The property accommodated us in a Luxury Suite. There was a thoughtful welcome note for Plats at check-in and welcome chocolates and a fruit platter in the suite with an additional welcome note thanking guests for booking a STARS rate. Following our stay at The Athenee where these were conspicuously missing and we were accommodated in their smallest room (after SNA failed, despite STARS rate), this was a refreshing improvement.
We were very pleased with the overall experience. The SGS met and exceeded Luxury Collection brand standards and we had a memorable stay after a grim three nights at The Athenee with multiple service failures. The suite was well-appointed and met our needs. The F&B presentations for Plats were generous, including an extensive drinks list for the Evening Happy Hour and a truly excellent executive breakfast at Rossinis for Plats and suite guests which had a superb mango juice offering.
We also enjoyed a high quality experience at the Sheraton Grand Spa and were happy that the property was flexible in allowing for the use of F&B credit to purchase holiday gifts to bring home (e.g. cookies, coffee). We were also happy with the location of the SGS with its own covered walkway to the BTS station and Terminal 21, which was far superior to The Athenee.
Overall, we would not hesitate to recommend the SGS for Bonvoy elites looking for a property in this price range. It is unmatched in location, service, and value.

Hotel is not brand new but very well maintained; and has good infrastructure, e.g. pool and restaurants are nice. But what makes that hotel really outstanding is the staff: consistently very friendly and attentative. It's obvious that this hotel is well run, as hotel management was visible throught the stay and paying attention to the nitty gritty details which positively differentiates this hotel from many other hotels. Hotel restaurants are recommended, both, the Thai and Italian restaurant can convince. Happy to return to this place. Thank you.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights for our first visit to Bangkok. We chose it on recommendations from friends who live in the city and who said the location is very convenient and the pool is lovely. These two aspects are definitely great advantages for this hotel which is connected to the BTS and a mall via a covered walkway directly from the hotel lobby. We spent 2 afternoons at the pool and it’s a lovely tropical oasis in the midst of this sometimes chaotic city.
My husband is Titanium Elite status so we were able to use our suite nights to upgrade to a luxury suite which was spacious and well equipped. Any requests were answered promptly and someone sent to the room within a couple of minutes which is impressive for a hotel this size. The complimentary laundry service of 2 items per pax for our status was also really helpful.
We had breakfast in both the lobby (main) restaurant and in the 1st floor restaurant which is for Bonvoy only - would definitely recommend the latter, much more attentive service and less chaotic. We also made use of the free soft drinks in the day in the Living Room which provided a good selection and good service. Both of us used the gym which is very well equipped and in good condition.
My only small criticism would be that service at the pool was slow and not proactive, and that the style of the hotel is quite dated. It’s very 90’s - think lots of beige marble and brown!
Having said this, we would definitely stay again!
