A very decent place to stay. Nice big rooms, nice hospitality, friendly staff for assistance and most importantly there washrooms are clean and tidy. The location is also really happening. Everthing is available near to the hotel itself. Keep up the good work guys.

It was a very excellent with all required facilities. The thing I like most about is that in the morning you get a free breakfast buffet. You can more than 104 kinds of food with everthing you need and it has a very big swimming pool

Nothing good to say about the hotel!! The hotel location is okay, near to city center. But, cleanness of the room is not that high, we stayed in Privilege Suite, which is like the normal room. The rooms and fittings are shabby, does not at all look like the pictures uploaded in booking.com. You can hear everything from your neighbors,... More

Me and my family had a great time at a taekwondo camp held at the fitness centre of the ambassador hotel. We were using a few of their rooms and it was all in great condition. The staff was friendly and helpful, equipment was in good condition and it was clean and neat. I can warmly recommend this fitness centre... More

My teenage daughter had the great opportunity to attend a taekwondo three day camp hosted at the Fitness Centre. I was extremely impressed with how clean the work out rooms were (there was a number to choose from), all gym equipment was in working order, change rooms clean, and staff very helpful and patient (we were a large group aged... I was disappointed with this hotel, until on my last (of three) day I spent a few hours swimming and lazing by the pool on the third floor. Great location for a pool, and enjoyed lunch there too. Up till then, I was getting increasingly irritated by the expensive and not too appetising breakfasts, the tired room and the habit... More

Great lobby which make you impressed at the first sight. Near BTS Nana (around 5mins walking). It's located in red light hood but safe. Not many restaurants near the hotel. The pool is small but great. Room are ok for 2pax. Not too clean, the glasses were dirty and the bathroom too.

The hotel is decent with an okay ambience. The rooms are clean, but lacks every bit of luxury. The breakfast is quite good. If you are from southeast Asia, you will probably like the buffet. On the pluses: free wifi (decent speed), close to BTS Nana, free coffee corner with sugar and cream and tea inside the room On the... More

I stayed there for two nights in November 2016 I picked it for it's location which was perfect. A short walk from the BTS its 100 metres from a supermarket with a 7/11 across the street I found the breakfast buffet excellent, featuring a literal pile of bacon. I personally loved the pool, but it got very deep very abruptly.... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.

Hi everyone, our family has been staying at Ambassador Hotel on our annual Bangkok Vacation for the last 15 years and we love it as it feels like home and the area is just unbeatable!

The last time I went there was in April 2014 and on this trip we noticed the hotel has fallen a few steps back from what it was compared to 2013. A few things I would like to know :

1. The A/C in the Reception area used to be really good and refreshing to walk into after a full day of shopping but in 2014 the A/C was literally non existent, so what I want to know is - was it temporary or is it still the same ?

How about the A/C in the Tower Wing Ground floor lift area (near the fish tanks ?) and in the AM Cafe. We usually hang around these areas hence the concern.

2. We always stay in the Tower Wing and have found that the Rooms and Washrooms were quite good (no foul smell, cockroaches etc) is the standard still the same in the tower wing?

The house keeping in the tower wing used to do an awesome job cleaning the rooms, how is it now ?

3. Is the hotel still happening like it used to be ? One plus point for this hotel used to be that it was never boring (people always in the lobby area etc).

These questions might be weird to some but this year we will be spending around 17 days during the Christmas and new year season in Bangkok and can't let anything spoil our holiday as it is a very special one this year! if the hotel has really gone down we might have to look for a replacement hotel - sadly :(

Thanks,

Jamie - Sri Lanka.
