This property is at the gateway to all popular spots. Metro is just a few steps ahead. It also has a closeby tourist-y oriented restaurant - "Good and cheap Thai dishes". The property is infested with cockroaches and you can occasionally find a few at the restaurant at breakfast. Toilet gets clogged every time you use it. You can experience...

Bought our tickets on line only to arrive and have to pay more for 3 people. We thought we could just get an extra bed for our daughter but they insisted we pay for a family room instead of the deluxe. After we paid and was heading to the lift, they laughed and said the lift was not working. I...

Every time I come to Bangkok I usually stay here. Really good cheap rooms (800+ Baht), which is cheap for the Sukhumvit area. Also excellent wifi, basic breakfast included, good aircon and excellent location. About 100m from the nearest BTS skytrain. Station is Phrom Pong. Bed is very comfy and a suggestion is to stay on the 5th floor. Rooms...

The rooms are nothing like the pictures. When I arrived, they have overbooked two guests and they have to transfer to another hotel. I thought I was lucky to get a room, but once I enter the room, it was the worst in all my travelling experience. The room was moldy, shabby and dirty. I immediately cancelled the room and...

The hotel is quite central - that's about the only plus. They wouldn't let me check-in early. Not just that, the receptionist (male, lanky guy), who was winding up his work, was getting annoyed for even talking to him ... Now, that's not what hospitality is all about. He told me i can check-in only at 2pm, and this was...

The previous August I visit again this hotel after two years..I didn't found any changes..the hotel is the same, good location, friendly staff..the only thing that I found and I have to say about it is the humidity that I found on the ceiling at the bathroom and that is long time I think cos of the black colour. They have to...

Pro: - Very close to BTS, the sky train service in BKK. Just 1-2 minutes walk. Con: - Poorly trained staffs. - Lift often out-of-order. - Poorly clean room. Some stains on the ceiling. Molds in the bathroom. - Free but poor internet connection. - The water pressure decrease at the night, around 9 pm. If you really have to...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
