This is our 2nd stay here. It's really nice place for vacation with good river view from riverfront room type. Ton Makok (Olive tree) restaurant is on the 2nd floor of the hotel. Cheaper booking via the hotel website. Hotel staffs' re very nice. Surely will revisit this hotel again. Recommended
Seamless hotel stay. Perfect location to get away from the tourist crowds and wake up and walk outside to the wanglang market where you can eat anything for breakfast that your heart desires. We also had a magnificent massage a block away. Easy access to ferry about 2.5 blocks. Had dinner in hotel restaurant one night. Wasn't super impressed with the service but the food was fantastic! My only small complaint is that the coffee shop doesn't open until 9. But there is an awesome one down the street in the market that opens at 6, so no big deal. Had the corner room on 5th floor. Would return in a heartbeat!
The best: location on the River close to pier for River taxis and a fabulous view from the coffee shop. Neighborhood street markets unsurpassed for food, fruit, 7-11, pharmacies, hospitals. Few farangs. Easy access via River to BTS at Saphin Taksin and to Siam Center, MRT. Quiet room. Very comfortable. Nice shower and beds and refrigerator. What made it the best Hotel I’ve stayed at in Bangkok, including numerous 5 star hotels, was the staff. Complimentary airport pickup after 27 travel hours and a midnight arrival. A one hour trip to the hotel. All staff-Tuk Tuk driver, front desk , service people-especially friendly, efficient and competent. The best customer service.
This is a hidden gem on the busy side sois. Right on the river, Baan Wanglang has a delicious cafe, restaurant with love velg views and a breezy, peaceful rooftop bar. The rooms are affordable and comfortable with gentle Old Siam charm. Ferry across to the Grand Palace is so easy and convenient. Wang Lang Market is right near with an array of incredible street food and classics. Highly recommend and happy to return.
Very good hotel to stay near river side. We was on the corner suite and have a top view.Very good staff and helpfull. They have roomservice and loundry. You have to visit the small tipical thai market there. Next time we will go again. Thank you for all
Villa Jahn is very nice, cozy and relax stay. Bathtub is good view. Rooftop is nice and staff service is very good. Promotion is attractive and hope to have a chance to revisit again soon. Food is delicious
Had a panoramic room view of river, with private terrace and Bangkok Noi sights (only bt2000). Great 1st floor cafe with craft beer on tap and eats, and chill out on river side terrace. Good #4 floor restaurant and #5 floor pub. Reception staff Ms Taew was most pleasant, even sent you to room. Charming small soi outside hotel, with loads of eats, snacks -popular with local day trippers. Only caveat: No parking or access by car at hotel (due to location). You can park at A20 (corner entrance of tiny soi 20) and hotel bike or tuk tuk will pick you up. But overnight cost can set you back up to bt360.
We decided to have a staycation at this property and truly no regrets. Praew the receptionist received us cordially. She ensured our check in was smooth and went to the extra mile of showing us our room. We reserved a corner suite. It was huge and the river view was good. However the view only offered a 90 degree scene of the river. I was curious what the riverfront room would offer and so i tried my luck and asked Praew if she could show me the riverfront room and the panoramic view room. The riverfront room proved to be better than my corner suite room though the former was smaller. However the riverfront room has a 180 degree view of the river. I asked Praew if i could change room since the cost of my room and the riverfront room was the same. Praew agreed after making sure there was no reservation to the riverfront room. The next morning, after returning from breakfast, we were pleasantly surprise to find that our bed was tidied, fresh towels were replaced and complimentary drinking water was added. I must applaude Praew and the staff of this hotel for their service orientated attitude which made my stay a memorable one abeit the serious pandemic situation. Last but not least, Praew also acceded to my request to extend my check out to 1pm. Once again kudos to her and the staff of this hotel.…
This hotel is very lovely and a great value for the price. The reception area is quite small, but the interior is decorated in a traditional Thai style with lots of decorative wood, Buddhist religious items, and very interesting books on Thailand. There is a narrow staircase, but there is also an elevator. The rooms are not big, but very comfortable and excellent for those traveling 'light.' Guests can enjoy most modern amenities found in any hotel, but with a quaint, traditional feel and a great view from the restaurant. The receptionist was very efficient and friendly. The biggest drawback, to all hotels in this area, is access. Frequently, taxis will not drive all the way to the hotel because of the very narrow streets with lots of students walking down the middle at certain times of the day. The hotel did arrange a taxi pickup at their doorstep, but convincing a taxi to drive all the way there is a challenge unless you can convince them they can get back out.…
If you want to stay here should reserve a corner room overlooking the river. Those rooms are quite nice. Our room was small and dark. The roof deck and bar restaurant is quite nice. Location is good but a bit complicated to get to. Some staff were just wonderful. However, could of been more helpful in recommending the ferry as opposed to taking a taxi all the time.
