A recent stay at this hotel in June 2015. Initially I booked thru agoda but decided to cancel and make booking directly through the hotel website. They offered me the same price as agoda and free upgraded me to Executive room for triple sharing.

Location is very convenient to pratunam area where all the morning market and night market are located. Just like our Chinatown in Kuala Lumpur. But these markets open as early as 5:30am. You can see those local or tourist would bring their luggage there to shop. Yes, I mean shopping. I believed lots of customers are buying wholesale for their online business. I see similar dresses sold in online fashion store.

Tuk tuk is slightly more expensive compared to metered taxi. I would suggest for couples taxi is advisable and for more than 3 pax then tuk tuk would be cheaper. Not so near to BTS about 15mins walk from the hotel . 10mins to airport link. I prefer to pay 100baht to go BTS and take the train to wherever you wanna go.

Eatery places and street foods are easily accesible from this hotel. That is another plus point.

I would certainly stay at this hotel again. The cleanliness, location and hospitality offered by the staffs are worth giving round of applause.

For tripple sharing, ROOM 410 will be the best. Spacious.
Upon checkout, I paid 775baht for hotel taxi to airport including expressway charges.

Will strongly recommend this hotel to all travellers over the world.

Location is in the heart of pratunam. Walkable distance to platinum mall & Indra Regent & Baiyoke area. If you are taking a cab, tell the driver to turn left into soi 17, go straight till the end of the road, then make a right turn and you'll see The 93 Hotel on your left. Not difficult to find the hotel so need not worry a bit.

Hotel is run by local chinese family, the owners who are of middle age couple always sitting around the lobby area. It has 5 levels in total but somehow the lift only serves up to level 4 so i had to use the stairs since i stayed at level 5. Free wifi but you need the password from the reception. Breakfast include sausage, bacon, eggs, porridge, fried rice/noodle and toast. coffee/tea & juices too, pretty good for me. The room is modern & clean. But the bathroom is very very narrow and seriously i was pretty upset with the water temperature, it's always not warm & just like normal tap water temperature. However, i must compliment the aircond, its like super powderful. The bed & bedsheet & pillows are brand new & of good quality. Had pretty good sleep throughout the night, really.

Live band in the coffee house and food prices is very reasonable though not the cheapest. about S$5 for pineapple rice S$3 for fresh juices or cocktail & S$12 for a steak etc.

Overall i had a good stay in The 93 Hotel and i will come back again!

hope you find my reply useful to you. if you ask if i will go back again, i would say YES.

This property is located next to pratunum market about 3 mins walk from the hotel. Surroundings are filled with food stalls selling authentic thai food /fruits/drinks. Walking to Platinum is a mere 10 mins walk and 7 mins walk to the nearest bts station to get to MBK areas or central BKK for shopping. Its advisable to walk or train to the nearby areas rather than taking taxi because traffic build up is pretty bad at times. Going to weekend market CHATUCHAK is also breeze .because the train station is just next to this property, jus ask the reception if you want to get by there. I have stayed here 3 years ago when it was newly opened and the room was awesome but not anymore now. Room has a very stale smell and it seems most of the rooms were the same .We booked 3 rooms and the air inside the room were very damn and stale . Other than that, overall not too bad since we dont stay in the room cus mostly chilling out and shopping. Children will not enjoy this property cus no facilities at all.

If i will to visit BKK again, i will not stay here because there are new boutique hotels springing around these areas too which are relatively competitive too.

I travel to bangkok once or twice every month with my friend for business trips and we decided to try out this hotel since there were so many good reviews, plus the rates for our usual hotel were rather pricey for the dates we were staying. It was indeed a huge mistake. We had booked for 2 nights but after the 1st night, we couldn't take it anymore and booked a room at glow pratunam the next morning and immediately packed our bags and shifted over. Compared to 93 hotel, glow literally felt like heaven.

PROS:
None. The only possible saving grace is the street stalls below the hotel which sell amazing food, but even so, that has nothing to do with the hotel.

CONS:

1) Aircon is SUPER noisy. My friend is someone who can sleep through noises but even this was too loud for her to be able to sleep well. I was so tired yet I couldn't fall asleep and the loud droning noise gave me a headache as well. I don't know if its an isolated issue but this is really unacceptable for a hotel.
2) Bed was hard and our arms and legs itched while we were attempting (desperately) to sleep.
3) The room had a musty moudly smell when we entered. Definitely not a pleasant smell.
4) Shower temperature was inconsistent. 15 seconds of warm water followed by another 15 seconds of cold water and so on and so forth. As if it wasn't frustrating enough to sleep, we couldn't bathe properly too.
5) Room safe was locked and we couldn't open it despite trying many times
6) Soundproofing of the walls was so bad we could hear doors being slammed loudly every now and then

Maybe it was just plain unlucky for us to encounter such a terrible room during our first stay, but seriously, my advice is to just stay somewhere else. I've stayed at other budget hotels around the area like budacco and citin pratunam and both hotels are much better than the 93 hotel. This hotel is seriously the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

This maybe a budget hotel but I would certainly not recommend it to any of my friends who are budget travelers.

The check-in maybe fast but the receptionist were not too friendly at all. The room that we requested for with a king-size bed was on the 5th floor and the hotel lift don't serve right up to the 5th floor at all and we have to carry our heavy baggages up and down on our own.

The airconditioner was noisy together with the condenser placed outside the room. The temperature in the room was not controllable and often became too cold for comfort. The whole room only has got two power-points that can be used for phone charging and camera charging leaving us fighting for time to charge our gadgets. The power point was also not conveniently located at all. The room WIFI services sucked big time as every time you exited a particular page you will be prompted to log in all over again and again. The TV channels was another disappointment as the channels were limited.

The bathroom was another big disappointment for couple due to the lousy design. Entering the bathroom required raising of the foot up by at least one feet due to the separation between the living room and the bathroom and vis-visa when walking out of the bathroom must be extremely careful due to the wet floor. The bathroom was with limited space between the wash basin and the toilet bowl. Using the wash basin leaves no space for another to use the toilet bowl. The shower area no doubt was covered by glass panel but there was huge gap which will result to water flowing out to wet the toilet floor posing hazard of wet and slippery floor.

The only plus point of this hotel is the location which is right at the heart of the busy street making shopping for things easy.

We were very disappointed with this hotel and will never again stay at this hotel again when we visit Bangkok the next time.

We had to leave for the airport early in the morning and asked the hotel for a taxi. They told me there would be no taxi at 5am so they charged us 450 THB - normally it would cost less than 300 THB. It turned out there were plenty of taxis running around looking for customers. Do yourself a favour and don't stay at this hotel so you don't get ripped off.
