Stayed in Trang Hotel for a meeting at the UNCC. Make no mistake, this hotel well meets the needs despite a 3-star label! About 12 minutes walk to the UNCC; taxi to the well-connected Phaya Thai Bangkok Train Service (BTS) and from this station you can practically go to any parts of well-known Bangkok like MBK, Siam Paregon, etc within...

We stayed here for three nights. The room was nice and spacious and the breakfast buffet had a decent selection of Thai and western items to choose from. The staff were quite helpful. They have a swimming pool, too, which was great. The location was not the nicest.

A lovely hotel. We stayed in the cheap part which was clean and had space and aircon. The resort has great pool and dining area. We had a great time enjoying the pool, food and buffet. The staff are lovely and did everything to help us. A great budget stay booked online, great deals available.

This hotel was a surprisingly nice place, despite the location being more of a place for backpackers. The room was good, bed very comfortable. Staff were extremely helpful and the hotel restaurant and bar were very good too.

Trang Hotel is in a very convenient location close to the Chao Praya River, 10 minutes taxi ride from Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Breakfast was included and was very good. Our room had 3 single beds as requested and was very roomy.

I was very surprised by the hotel. It is very quiet place to stay. It is absolutely not far from the famous streets. The Bangkok monuments are not far and very well reachabke via taxi, tuc-tuc or a boat. Take this hotel into account if you consider a Bmgkok visit!

They don't have double beds, there are two simple beads put together. Everything very clean, and new. They have a roofed swimming pool. And thats the reason the water is very very cold, But because outside the ambient in Bangkok is very very hot, it is so good to have cold water to go into. A bit shock in the...

Not for couples, the surrounding of the Hotel is ugly, the view from my window was uglier, I couldn't open the window. Cleanness and comfort, I would say basic. Compared the price we paid I think it was expensive, if it did include breakfast it might have been ok. The only good thing about the hotel was the swimming pool.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
